Debate: Are Youko and Shuichi the same person or not?
This is an ongoing online debate some believe they are two SEPARATE souls in one body.
Others say they are the same.
My personal belief is that they are one in the same soul and being.

I don't think they are two separate souls, but I get so confused that in the end, I just give up on this.
I mean...the embryo the fox entered didn't have a proper soul yet. And there was fusion, or a merger, meaning they are one and the same. He says he is both Minamino Shuuichi and Youko Kurama.
Funimation misinterpreted it, I think.

I think they did misinterpreted it too. Maybe its him saying he can still be like Youko even though hes left that life behind or something.
