Okay, we all know DC's been screwing with their characters pretty bad lately and it looks like they intend to continue. Is there anyway to fix the damage that has been done?List your suggestions for plots and storylines. Things which would make DC better.. and please don't bring anyone back to life stare

Well, that obivous.. personally I think they should bring Hal Jordan back to life.. then kill him by having a piano drop on his head.. just to mess with HEAT.

The President or Owner or Whatnot of DC Comics needs to fire his entire creative staff, then work out a way to seperate the company from AOL/TimeWarner.

Raven_Darkholme A yellow piano dropped by John Stewart. You know... even though Hal's getting his old ring back (and in turn, Guy)... you think they'll keep the weakness to yellow in there or retcon it into one of Kyle's new rings that don't have weaknesses? Sadly... I think the only way to truly solve DC's problems is another Crisis. Except it's actually be a little closer to the original, and it'd be a helluva lot more uplifting. Angst can kiss the fattest part of my arse.

The answer to all DC problems: Bring back characters that mean something?! Or at least make characters mean something again.
I could rant and rave about this forever, but the short and sweet of it is that DC characters and heros are all great heros, but they don't mean anything. Batman stands for Batman, Superman stands for Superman. Nothing more, nothing less. This goes for all the heros, including my ever-loved Steel, who used to stand for something but soon entered the mediocrity of meaningless - notheless cool, but still meaningless - DC heros. I would love to see Steel come back, but I know that wouldn't solve anything. To solve things, we need to literally start from scratch. Get new writers, have new ideas, but bring back the classic stuff as well. Have the heros actually have something useful to fight for. ... That'll end my rant for now.

I don't have a lot of time to post about it now, but I'll expand on it later tonight.
Think about this suggestion: Bring back the backup stories. 6-8 page stories placed in each comic that features characters who have loyal fanbases, but can't support a comic on their own. There are several reasons why this is a good idea, and only few why it wouldn't.

I enjoyed the Riddler back-up in War Games, and Pre-Crisis, those (imo) were always the funnier stories.
