Alatrice is a girl from a world lightyears from Earth. Because of "The Huntae's Gift", Morphing Powers, she and her friends were able save their world from the enslaving Yeerks. Alatrice now takes on an a new quest, to return Morlon, the Huntae's body to his homeworld, and instead finds not what she expected; Morlon like she was given the powers with his first to save his world. There is called "The Kinto's Gift." And so she follows this trail of worlds, some still fighting the yeerks, some lost to the yeerks, some free some destroyed. All the 10,000 worlds have one thing in common... they were given the gift of Hope.
