Stratovarius is a Finnish power/neo-classical/progressive metal band.
They formed in 1982 and they were a major influence to a lot of power metal bands. However, although they started in '82, their first cd didn't come out until 1989 O.O Reasons for this will be discussed later.
They are also considered one of the earliest power metal bands, and a major influence on the use of keyboards in music.

The band members are: Timo Tolkki, Timo Kotipelto, Jens Johansson, Lauri Porra, and Jorg Michael.
An amazing this about this band is that they started in 1982 and are still playing together. That's 26 years O.O

There are so many songs they've done and so many you could try and the styles changed so much over the years it's hard to recommend songs. I guess, Black Diamond, Future Shock, Break The Ice and many many others.
Also, there was an instrumental that's I don't think was on any of the cd's, but is on the internet called Lord Of The Rings, it's an excellent instrumental piece.
