Nightwish is another power metal band from Finland. They are also considered a symphonic metal band.
They also formed in 1996, but unlike Sonata Arctica, they kept their original name. Their first album came out in 1997, but they were a pretty obscure (unknown) band until they released two more albums in 2000.
The members are: Anette Olzon, Tuomas Holopainen, Marko Hietala, Erno Vuorinen and Jukka Nevalainen.
Several good songs of theirs are: Nemo, Wishmaster, I Wish I Had An Angel, Dark Chest Of Wonders and several others you'll have to find yourself if you like them ^_^
Admittedly, all those songs I just said are from their 2004 album Once... it ws my favorite album. ^_^ I also like their newest album Dark Passion Play. If you can find it, listen to Amaranth.

I hadn't heard of Nightwish before. This made me check them out and I really like them. Awesome music.

Yay Nightwish! I kind of miss the change in vocals since Tarja's gone, but Anette does an awesome job too. I haven't looked into Tarja's solo work (the album came out not too long ago), does anyone know if it's up to par?
As a fan of the musical, I think I nearly squealed when I saw Phantom of the Opera on the track listing when I picked up Century Child. xd

I've seen them in concert!!!! I absolutely loved their perfomance though the vocalist voice was difficult to hear, they had some technical problems with that ^_^ Wishmaster and I wish I had an angel were simply...awesome
