Manowar is an American heavy/power metal band that was formed in 1980, in New York.
They have/had (don't know if it's been broken or not yet) a record in the Guiness Book of World Records for delevering the loudest live performance! ^_^ They got that record in 1984.
They are a lot more popular in Europe than they are here in North America because this type of music has never been mainstream here.
Members: Joey DeMaio, Eric Adams, Karl Logan, Scott Columbus.
Basically, the songs I would recommend by them all have metal in the name, but I would recommend finding anything you can and I will put in links to this and other bands music later when I've got a better computer.
Songs: Brothers Of Metal, Warriors Of The World United, The Book Of Heavy Metal, Kings Of Heavy Metal etc.
I have to listen to more though cause I haven't actually heard a whole lot myself -_-,,
Oh! Dedicated fans of Manowar tend to be called Immortals or Manowarriors ^_^

Oh, and for those of you looking for the record, Guiness got rid of it years ago because they don't want to promote ear damage and hearing impairment. xD Thank you.

TKFareak That's a pretty bad a** record to hold. I know!!!! It sucks that Guiness got rid of it or lots of bands would be getting louder and louder and we'd all have bleeding ears but it'd be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D I loves the metal. ~ Krad Ruhk III ~

so, guiness has all those freakshow records that can possibly maim or kill people (ie goldfishes up nose, worms through a straw, swords up butt etc) but they get rid of loud bands.... why not just change the parameters, make it the loudest band in soundcheck or something, then all the roadies would be the ones to cop it, but it wouldn't matter cuz they're all going deaf anyway.... pah!
oh, and on a more serious note, manowar was clearly the main inspiration for Spinal Tap wink
