Spring is officially almost here, and I am officially more than ready for it!
My mom who was an English major (I swear it's true) taught me a poem about Spring when I was a lad, and I would like to share it with you now:
Spring has sprung, The grass is riz, I wonder where The birdies is?

actually, we do have birds, lots of them
from big jays and ravens down to titmouses (titmice?)
but no flowers
or grass
under the snow there is ice, which keeps the early snowdrops and so on from coming out.

Yeh, we had snow (slush but it accumulated) Friday morning.
At least now what we get at breakfast melts by lunchtime.
