the conversation: r u a goth? no emo? no grunger? no punk? no well what r u then? *insert random thing here*
once, the random thing was punk, and they just said, "whats a punk?" i say just say anything that pops into my head, because i dont really like to label myself as anything, but if ppl feel they must label me as something, they should at least know what they're talking about. i didnt even bother trying to explain it.

What gets in my nerves is when people mistake punk for emo, or goth. I am punk. Emo=not me. Goth=not me. Punk= Me, all the way. How hard is it for people to understand that punk, emo, and goth are 3 different things. There are some similarities, but they aren't exactly the same?

sorry sorry been away for a whileXD so lets go on with the discussion...... punk emo and goth are NOT the same thing. there are,as u say, some similarities but some big differences too. ive been called emo some times but ppl who say that do really not know what they are talking about.

It is true labels suck and they shouldn't be used, but sometimes you have to use them. I hate labels too, but sometimes they are appropriate.

The kids who call me goth or emo enjoy throwing rocks at me at random times during the day. It sucks that most of the kids at school think that I worship the devil.... Personally, I love emo and goth people. But I'm not one.

even if there are some differenties between goth/emo/punk i feel most related to ppl who are goth or emo than "normal ppl" cause they have the courage to be themselves and dress and be as they want, like me. Ever seen the movie "Mean girls"? i thought that movie was good cause it showed how ppl are taking after eachother. like if those who are popular wear something or have something everyone follwos and tries to dress the same...... i lik ppl who not are affraid to be them selves and stand out.
