Well, you know the drill. Post poems/songs, give opinions of others', etc.
Here's the most recent song I've written, so I hope you all enjoy it
Always and Forever
You tell me that I'm crazy
You say that I'm insane
I'm just another dreamer
Who can't rise beyond his pain
Just give me time and you will see
The flame that burns within
I'll free the fire, running far
On this path I now begin
(Chorus)
You can tell me that I'm worthless,
But I will prove you wrong
Tell me how to feel or act
But I will tell you off
Tell me I'm not worth your time,
Just watch where I end up
Though my road is long and hard,
Just watch me as I start
And you will all remember me,
And the fire in my heart
This longing in my soul will serve to bring you all together
And the will shall carry on,
Always and Forever
No fears of death can stop me now,
My soul has grown too strong
For any pain of mortal life
My quest goes far beyond
I cry out with lion's roar
I fly on angel's wings
The glory that I see beyond
I shall forever sing

Crying out in darkness,
Beyond the mocking voices
The ones that say I'm fake
I'll carry on beyond the guilt
I'll carry on beyond the noise
And the dragon heart I wake

Poem from a Broken Heart
In her opinion,
The best poetry comes
From the broken heart
Always such painful passion,
Hurt, anger, despair
And yet, even still
There is love.
Laid down on paper
Into one heart wrenching poem
She never thought,
She’d ever write one
From the heart
Hurt, anger, despair,
She still loved him
And waited so long
For one chance at love
Then as soon as it began
It was blown out
Like a candle,
Never meant to be lit,
Because he loved someone else
More than her
For that she hates him
With the fury of a woman scorned.
Except…she loves him yet
Even for his faults, insecurities, and weaknesses
He is her soft spot
And will never get over
The first one who showed interest,
The first one that cared,
Her first love…
most of you can probably guess what inspired that one... emo

Ambition
Look in my eyes just before they cry

I am the flame that howls in your veins
I am not the angel of death
I am the wind that whispers your name
I am the angelic breath

And life will all perish in flame
I will bring hope to the future of man
And the gods shall remember my name

"I Am Not Afraid"
I've spent my life in solitude, my vanity's disguise,
A perversion of my ego, of all that I'd despised
"Is this reverence just penance for the sin of this disguise?"
It's just the price, the restitution, the fire in my eyes
Seeking desperately the cause of how I spend this time
Under darksome countenance, I've sought the reason to my rhyme
And past a time of questioning, came disillusioned hate
Through the painful desolation, though paradoxic fate
Through misdetermined influence, was shaped the hate within
And traces of the melancholy were whispered in the wind
But one day fire fades to ash, and ash returns to dust,
And that ever burning flame will so, too, lose its lust
"Everything returns to shadow, and life shall lose its fire",
So I, the adversary, started seeking new desire
And through the passing of the dusk, the light must take its form
Just as well, the dawn must break, with the passing of the storm
And now with strength undying, with knowledge of the past,
I'll stoke the flame of my ambition, and I know that it shall last
Unlike the fleeting amber haze I clung to years before
This ensorcelling, burning blaze shall guide me through the door
The road to hell is paved with blood, and redemption's bought with tears
But no matter which I walk, I know I'll have no fears
I live to bring the solace for the past that brings me shame
I'll live to love, to change the world, and the Gods shall know my name!
Angel's hands will guide my path, let love now show the way
And let the hope that's given me bring the strength to say:
"I am not afraid."
I'm not afraid of those who try to stop me on my way
And I shall not fear the thought of dying on some distant day
My guardian star shall lend me courage, to guide me on my way
I'll pass that strength to all the world, they'll stand together, to say:
I Am Not Afraid."

The Eyes Of The Abyss
In the shadowed depths, the light's opposing force's sight is true
For when you gaze into the dark, it gazes into you.
The feeble mind desires shadow, like moths drawn to the flame
It tantilizes all the senses, it whisper's power's name
Darkness drowns the spirit, it runs our senses through
When you look into this dark, it looks back into you.
Fiery winds consume the heart, sorrow fills the mind
Numbed by storm of frigid frost, depression quickly winds
Chasing after light that never seems to show its form,
The soul becomes a myriad of fire, wind and storm.
It gnaws away, burns within, the spirit living less and less
The heart, it wishes to feel the touch of darkness's black caress
A wind of change, however, can blow soon, free and true,
When light obstructs the dark which once gazed into you
Cast off the shadows of the past with hope of newfound love
Not even darkness can look into the possibilities above
Bigotry and avarice, animosity and rage
These terrors all imprison us, in a fiery blackened cage
But 'twas written in the heavens that the planets should align
When we cast off the blinding dark that once ensnared our minds
Dark cannot drive out this dark, only light prevails!
Rise together, in brotherhood, and then we cannot fail!
No more shall I enslave my heart to the terror of thunder's roll
For I would sacrifice my life before I sold my soul
We must not allow the dark to take us anymore!
Announce our freedom to the future, from shore to radiant shore!
