Splinter was the pet rat of a ninja named Hamato Yoshi. Exceptionally intelligent for his species, Splinter was able to learn his master's art by mimicking his movements while he practiced.

Yoshi became embroiled in a dispute with a fellow ninja by the name of Oroku Nagi, over the love of a woman named Tang Shen. When the woman favored Yoshi, Nagi grew angry and beat her. Yoshi encountered Nagi and Shen, and slew Nagi in his rage.

Yoshi, Shen and Splinter fled to New York City, where they were tracked down and Yoshi was slain by Nagi's younger brother, Saki, who had become The Shredder.

Without a home, Splinter was reduced to living in the city's sewers. One day while gathering food Splinter witness a heroic teenager knocking an old man out of the path of a truck. As the driver put his foot hard on the brakes and stopped the truck, a canister bounced out of the cab and hit the young man. Bouncing down the side of the street, the canister collided with a bowl with four baby turtles being held by a boy. Breaking open on contact, the canister covered the turtles with a green ooze. The broken canister and turtles fell into the sewer, where Splinter rescued them, also exposing himself to the ooze that had covered the turtles.

In time, the ooze mutated both Splinter and the turtles, increasing their size and intelligence, and making them more humanoid. Eventually, Splinter named the four turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo (after his favorite Renaissance artists) and raised them as his own sons, but also training them in the arts of ninjutsu, so that they may one day avenge the death of Hamato Yoshi and slay the Shredder, who had amassed a powerful organization in the New York underworld.

Now that the back ground is out of the way, this is TNMT told our way, still using the story line loosely. Yes all characters from show are in it, yes you can create your own characters (all profiles must be run by me first.) No god modding. If someone is not in the profiles section then their up for grabs, however be warned if we need one of the caracters from the show for something, we will have someone act as them till we get someone to be them. I ask that you take one character from the series and give it two weeks before you ask to be another one officially to give everyone a chance to be one who wants to be. I also ask you try to be as close to their personality as possible, y ou can quirk it a little but follow who their characters are please. I am law I will enforce if i think anyone is getting out of hand.

Background: Another Bio-Project of Shredder's scientists, he remembers nothing of his former life, except for little flashes that occasionally surface in his dreams. Unlike Artemis, he has no animal friends, and rarely speaks. Because of his unusual form, that of a Dragon of legend, the scientists like to 'experiment' on him in particular, which has made him into more of a recluse then others, keeping to himself a lot of the time, though he has shown a kind streak, and often seems to disagree with Shredder's orders. He has been disciplined more then once for disobediance, scars across his frame attesting to this. He has yet to recieve a device for allowing him to appear as a normal human, instead taking to the rooftops and sliding along alleyways through the darkness.

Weapons: Fangs and claws and tail, and the scientists have hypothesized that he may in fact be able to breathe flame just as the legendary Dragons were able to.

*A streak of crimson flashed across an adjacent rooftop, slinking down the dark brick and concrete and steel of the buildings until it flashed across the top of the bank, pausing behind a spire to press a clawtip to a metal nub secured just between the larger and smaller horns on the left side of its head.*
"Acknowledged." *came the slightly-growled reply, ruby eyes flickering to the shadows ahead as Masamune began moving again*

*He slid inside easily through a back way, claws digging into plaster and steel to crawl along the ceiling, ruby eyes glinting, hidden in the shadows as he watched the footsoldiers at work. He was supposed to be helping them subdue those who were already in the bank, however...he found himself keeping watch to make sure that no overzealous footsoldiers harmed any of the hostages. He blinked, looking up toward a window in time to see a green shape begin to fall, only to be halted, his head tilting slightly* Ah. Must be one of those Turtles...Good catch.

"Acknowledged." *Came the single-word answer again, signalling to the Footsoldiers who were still in the building before he slid back out the way he'd come, straightening up on the roof and arching himself almost into an n until his flexible spine popped, then popping his neck, scales glinting wetly in the rain, making his scales seem like blood that was running down his serpentine frame* "Rendevouz point is?"

"He'll find something to gripe about. Probably at me for not letting the Footsoldiers smack someone around. He always finds something." *He gave a small shrug, looking back to her, ruby eyes glinting in the light shining from the bank and from various buildings around them*

*He watched her for a few minutes, slowly bowing his head and closing his eyes.* "Thank you." *he said, before she left with her gargoyle, watching the two depart. He always found it strange when others were kind to him...He did not object to it, he simply wasnt used to it, is all. He enjoyed Artemis' company, he admitted to himself, and out of the other Bio-projects he got along with her best. He shrugged a little to himself, slipping back into the shadows*

*He was there in but a moment, quickly crawling up the side of the building and tilting his head as he setteld into a crouch on the stonework next to her, his scaled features settling into a frown as he saw her shoulder* "He injured you." *he said softly, glancing up to her* "Because I am late?"
