What does this mean? What is Helles Belles? Quote: Helles Belles has also included this reason for inviting you: I saw you in towns and thought you could use some help. Come join our guild, get adopted and see how much fun Gaia can be! What is this?

*takes a deep breath and puts on the 'Sensei' Glasses*
Alright! Firstly, you can ask your questions anywhere you feel like it will be noticed. I don't think anyone minds it, at least, I don't.
Helles Belles is one of our Crew Members. That invitation means that she thought you would like to be a member of this Guild.
Congratulations, because you've obviously both joined and made your posts by yourself-which sadly, many fail to understand how to do.
Have you checked out our new Korthowse Subforum? It boasts an 'Adopt a Newby' thread that you might actually enjoy. Think of it as a 'Senpai', but not a creepy one from Root. ^o_o^;
Does that help?

Yea okay. I used to play on Roliana, but a lot of people talked about Gaia. I came here- so I don't know everything yet. This is really different in a lot of ways. more cool to me.
I don't know about adoption but thank you for explaining it to me. And yea, sorry about the way I talk. You don't make much money if you don't write everything out and talk a whole lot on the other place. So it's a habit.

Are you kidding? A literate newby is like a little gift from the INT4R-W3B G0[ wink 5.
You are more than welcome to type everything out, twice if it so suits you. ^o_o~
And I'm glad you decided to come here and play. I've glanced over a few times to Roliana, actually. Basically and in my opinion-it's a cheap imitation. All of the flaws and less than half of the perks.
I hope you become as addicted to Gaia as the rest of us losers awesome members. heart

Never apologize for the way you speak! If everyone spoke like you do, I think I'd be so happy my head would explode!
Ranten-fukubuchou, a little gift from the gods? Pfft, are you kidding? I think that online, a literate person, not even necessarily a newby, is a pretty big gift!
Whenever I see really bad spelling or grammar, I feel like killing something. I think it's a miracle I haven't gone on a murder spree yet. .__.
And if someone can spell 'definitely' correctly without spellcheck, I'll worship them forever.

Ah, I see.
Oh, yes-well, that makes sense. Too true, Miss Nova. Indeed.
Adoration of our Sai here, much? The Marriage Subforum is up the stairs and to your left, Miss Nova.

Mm, well, I haven't seen him try to spell 'definitely' yet. We'll see. ;D
[Can't you just see this conversation? "Nova, will you go out with me?" "Depends. Spell 'definitely' first."]

LMAO. I understand though, Miss Nova. A girl has to have high standards (for literacy too) nowadays. ^o_o~
Well here's some apple juice to dip those cookies in, Ryu-Kun.

Ahh, but sometimes I think my standards are a little too high. Because I'm pretty sure a lot of my friends have no literacy standards at all. It would be a little bit strange if they did, actually. I'm honestly surprised that some of them can spell their own names and addresses, sometimes. >_>
Literacy is really important to me online, because in most places, it's the only thing people can see of you, and they judge you based on that. Being illiterate online, to me, seems kinda like walking around IRL in filthy (and smelly) clothes and slurring all your words so badly that nobody can understand you. Also, I'm very happy whenever I see a whole lot of text without a red spellcheck line under anything. I don't know why, but I am.
And what is it about you that makes me write such long answers? I NEVER write answers this long. This is, like, waaaay too long. Do people actually read answers when they're this long? >_>
Also, I've never actually seen anyone dip cookies into apple juice before. .__.

It should explain a little more than the invitation did. I will send you another. I read your post on my profile- sorry if you were freaked! You will probably have more company in the next couple of days- as I found several Naruto fans in town that want to join and be adopted. I'll tell you more in a PM. Welcome, anyway! And hope you have fun!

Firstly, I think that the woman who maintains her standards the highest in regards to the opposite/compatible gender will most successfully be able to disregard the suitors who don't possess the aptitude to take care of her the way she wishes to be taken care of. So you should take pride in your high standards, and mock both those who have none, and those who cannot appease your class. I suppose some of that is true in forms of communication and literacy as well.
And I highly agree with your views on online literacy. To me, the way a person types/communicates through their posts, etc- is the way I perceive their online personality. So while I don't consciously pass judgment on their intelligence or ability to effectively convey their thoughts and ideas, it will greatly affect the way I relate to the person and communicate with them. Either way, we're a little harsh, perhaps.
...and you're adorable for mentioning 'a long reply' to 'Me, Ranten. He of the Loquacious Keyboard.' ^o_o~
