Okay, here are the symbols in your instructions: X = single crochet v = increase - 2 sc in one stitch V with a line = increase - 3 sc in one stitch ^ = decrease - sc the next two stitches together ^ with a line = decrease - sc the next three stitches together T = half double crochet T with a line = double crochet Globe looking thing w/ lines = puff stitch U with an X = loop stitchU with an X and V = you got me! lol X with a line = single crochet back loop only Flattened O = chain stitch Colored in O = slip stitch I can write out the pattern for you later this evening if you want, but my son just woke up and I won't have time until his next nap, lol. biggrin

Okay this is what I have translated from the page with the penguin on it. This is the third page you scanned. The first two pages I believe were the same thing and they were too small for me to make out the pattern exactly. It got too blurry when I tried to zoom in. But maybe you can figure it out once you do this part.
Now the shaded areas I assume are telling you where to put the color changes, I didn't mark that on here cause I didn't figure it out in time, lol, but you can just look at the chart.
If you don't know how to make a magic ring you can just chain 3, join with a slip stitch to form a ring and work the right number of sc into the ring. Hope this helps! (And I hope I didn't make any mistakes, lol)
Make 1 (Head?) RND1: make a magic ring with 8sc, join ( 8 ) RND2: ch1, 2sc in each around, join ( 16 ) RND3: ch1, *1sc in next 1, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 24 ) RND4: ch1, *1sc in next 2, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 32 ) RND5: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 32 ) RND6: ch1, *1sc in next 3, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 40 ) RND7-8: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 40 ) RND9: ch1, *1sc in next 4, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 48 ) RND10-13: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 48 ) RND14: ch1, *1sc in next 4, scdec next 2 tog* repeat from * to * around, join ( 40 ) RND15: ch1, 1sc in first, scdec next 2 tog, *1sc in 3, scdec next 2 tog* repeat from * to * 7 times, 1sc in each of last 2 ( 32 )
Make 1 (Body?) RND1: make a magic ring with 8sc, join ( 8 ) RND2: ch1, 2sc in each around, join ( 16 ) RND3: ch1, *1sc in next 1, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 24 ) RND4: ch1, *1sc in next 2, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 32 ) RND5: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 32 ) RND6: ch1, *1sc in next 3, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 40 ) RND7: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 40 ) RND8: ch1, *1sc in next 4, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 48 ) RND9-12: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 48 ) RND13: ch1, *1sc in next 4, scdec next 2 tog* repeat from * to * around, join ( 40 ) RND14-17: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 40 ) RND18: ch1, *1sc in next 3, scdec next 2 tog* repeat from * to * around, join ( 32 ) RND19-22: ch1, 1sc in each around ( 32 )
Make 2 (Feet?) RND1: ch5, 2sc in second ch from hook, 1sc in next 2, 4sc in last ch, then working back up the other side 1sc in next 2, 2sc in last, join. ( 12 ) RND2: ch1, 2sc in first, 1sc in next 4, 2sc in next 2, 1sc in next 4, 2sc in last, join. ( 16 ) RND3-5: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 16 ) RND6: ch1, *1sc in next 2, scdec next 2 tog* repeat from * to * around, join ( 12 ) RND7-9: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 12 ) RND10: ch1, (scdec next 2 tog) six times ( 6 )
Make 2 (Wings?) RND1: make a magic ring with 5sc, join ( 5 ) RND2: ch1, 2sc in first, 1sc in next 1, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 11, 2sc in next 1, join ( 8 ) RND3: ch1, 1sc in first, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 2, 2sc in next 2, 1sc in next 1, 2sc in last, join ( 12 ) RND4: ch1, 1sc in first 2, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 3, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 1, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 2, 2sc in last, join ( 16 ) RND5-12: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 12 )
Make 1 (Tail?) RND1: make a magic ring with 8sc, join ( 8 ) RND2: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 8 ) RND3: ch1, *1sc in 1, 2sc in 1* repeat from * to * around, join ( 12 ) RND4: ch1, *2sc in 1, 1sc in 2* repeat from * to * around, join ( 16 ) RND5: ch1, 1sc in first 2, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 3, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 3, join ( 20 ) RND6: ch1, 2sc in first, 1sc in next 4, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in next 4, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in last, join ( 24 ) RND7: ch1, (2sc in 1, sc in next 3) 3 times, 2sc in next 1, 1sc in last 2 ( 30 )
Make 1 (Beak?) RND1: make a magic ring with 7sc, join ( 7 ) RND2: ch1, 2sc in each around, join ( 14 ) RND3-4: ch1, 1sc in each around, join ( 14 )
Good Luck!
