I've long been a fan of venison. Deer meat, for those who don't know. It's delicious. I've often thought about taking up hunting just to get the meat, but it's so expensive to get a deer lease. A coworker of me has offered to let me hunt his land for free, and next season I may take him up on it. At work, we tend to eat some of what the guys have killed, so that's always a nice treat. Whether it's ground deer or venison steaks, or even sometimes backstrap, it's always a good day for some venison.

I haven't had much in the way of venison. Sausage was my favourite of what I've tried.

Venison! YUM! We're in the SCA here and we once did a Hundred Weight Venison feast for our little group here. Every meal had venison since a couple of the guys were cleaning our their freezers. There was venison sausage for breakfast, venison pies and stew for lunch and almost every course for dinner had venison in some form or other!

SmithPresea Venison! YUM! We're in the SCA here and we once did a Hundred Weight Venison feast for our little group here. Every meal had venison since a couple of the guys were cleaning our their freezers. There was venison sausage for breakfast, venison pies and stew for lunch and almost every course for dinner had venison in some form or other! That sounds delicious! I wish I had been there.
