She had to get out of that inn. The smell of stale ale and heavy food was getting to her senses and was making her very nasty. So after making sure Jamie was watched over she headed out. Today was a good day and besides she had to go buy some new clothes to fit in. Speaking of paying, her broken pocket watch laid heavily in her pocket, she should really sell it. It was doing her no good now...

So picking up her purse she headed into the town. She did receive odd looks but her was determined to ignore them. They did lessen though after she bought her self some clothes that fit in better. They were quite pretty but the material was very course and grated on the skin. She still held onto hers. Who knows she may decide to pick up sewing. Her wandering lead her down some odd streets until she came across a curio shop...perhaps here she could pawn off her watch...

Was it really a good idea? To add those two small words below his sign? 'And Pawnshop.' Sure, it would attracted more business...at least from people who could read, but it would also attract attention. And a few of the things that he sold required...a special sort of customer, one that wasn't related in any way to the authorities. No matter...it would all work out for the better, and more coin.

There was a creak as the door to his shop opened, causing the old man to look up from behind his counter. A woman...not a hunter by the looks of it. Grand, she probably had small woven necklaces made of beads and grass to sell. Or small wooden carved objects.

Then again...she could read...and that was a start.

He remained silent, waiting.

Blythe almost shrunk into herself, she was not used to such...places, yet she chastised herself. To show weakness here, would only lead you to attack. Squaring her shoulders she approached the counter. "Good evening, I wish to sell this watch. Now even though it does not work, no matter, it is solid gold and should fetch a good price. Now then sir what will you give me?" She kept the authoritative tones to her voice she was not going to be tricked into accepting a low price.

A very slight smirk came to the man's lips as he saw the watch. Clockwork...he had seen an odd influx of the craft lately. Hopefully it represented a change in the times...one that would destroy the idiocy he had to face on a daily bases. Slowly and with an obvious purpose the man took his right hand and opened it in front of the woman. "Allow me to see." He said simply with little emotion in his voice. "You can say its pure gold, but chances are its not. Of course if the clockwork appears so that it can be repaired, or that it has some engraved artwork, well...the price can go up." He was still trying to calculate, who this woman was, and her background...that would also help determine a 'fair' price.

She turned her head to the side eyeing him. Well off course it wasn't solid gold but the casing was...at least nicely carved with the school mascot of the leaping hart. A noble and honorable creature it was...yet still it had been a very costly piece of clockwork. Not many teachers managed to gain tenure at her school. So hesitantly she handed the watch over.

Today wasn't a very good day, she had just managed to navigate the market place to find something suitable for Jamie to wear. And now her shoes were feeling too tight ad was it geeting warm in here? She lightly braced herself on his counter.

"Please be careful with it, it is a very old piece," She said this breathily and as if hshe wasn't all there. She was panting slightly from the warmth and swaying a bit.

Another visitor walked into the shop, Jonas, the other Pawnshop owner from further down the marketplace. He had a rare good sale, allowing him to close down shop for a few hours to take care of his finances, and look at his competing shop owners goods.

"Ezekiel, I hope things are going well for you and you'll be giving this fair lady a good price for her trade" the shopkeeper said as he gave the shop a quick look around before turning to Blythe

"Ma'am, are you alright? you don't seem all that well"

"I believe I am a fair man." Ezekiel quickly replied back to Jonas with a slight glare. "More fair then you at least." The man added after a slight pause before eying the watch more carefully. It was a fine piece of course...and the gold looked real enough, and the weight was right. Even if it wasen't solid, he could still pass it off as if it were. But why on earth was that wretched shop keep here...now of all times?! It seemed as though whenever a great item entered Korbin's doors, this man was there like some annoying beggar.

Yet, the panting of the woman soon brought Korbin's attention back to reality where he looked at her, a frown catching his lips. "Ma'am," He said "Are you alright? Would you wish for me to see if I can run down to the aprococy? Or perhaps the church?" Yet in his mind, he prayed she diden't have some new plague, that would be bad for business of course. "Perhaps we should get you outside where its cooler...yes?" And safer for me as well as my wears of course. his mind added.

She shook her head. "No no I'll be quite alright, just...need to sit down is all," She unknowingly scratched herself on the arms. It was suddenly getting very itchy almost uncontrollably so and getting warmer. A sudden pain comes from her ears as if they were stung by a bee as they grow longer. She moans in pain grabbing them and hiding them from view. She manages to stand up and stumble to the counter grabbing the watch from the man's hands, and backing away. "I'm sorry I must be coming down with something...I better go. I'm sure to return..."

As she says this the tops of her hands a light blue fuzz grows on them and she seems to grow paler by the second as if slowly freezing. She manages to reach the door when her tail starts to grow out. Gasping in pain she places a hand where the tail is now growing. Stopping her flight. 'No not this! Oh god no please." Mentally she is screaming as tears flw down her face at the thought.

"You make a good jest when it comes to the fairness of business Ezekiel" Jonas told the other shopkeeper, he was still displeased with the fact Korbin had gone and added 'Pawnshop' to his store's sign; Jonas felt it was misleading and was just put there to try and pull well to do customers from his own business. There were some rumors floating about that Ezekiel did some less than honest business transactions when the doors were closed and the windows shuttered.

But that was forgotten as Blythe seemed to get worse, taking her watch she had hoped to sell and heading quickly to the door. Something certainly wasn't right here, Jonas didn't see the lady's ears get longer, but he did see her skin grow pale, and hear her gasp in pain.

"Ma'am you're certainly not well, you're turning pale, are you hurt? Ezekiel, fetch the apothecary and the nearest healer you can find, I know I saw that Burchart fellow walking down the street not even a minute ago, he can't be more than a stones throw away by now." Jonas told Korbin perhaps a little more commanding than he should have, but he was concerned over Blythe's well being as he placed a hand on the woman's shoulder, meaning to help guide her to a chair.

"Come now you need to rest, we'll get you someone who can help...oh my your hands are turning blue!" Jonas said, startled as he had gotten a glimpse of Blythe's hand, his mind not comprehending for a moment what he was actually seeing. It wasn't her hands that were turning blue...it was the fuzz growing from her hands that were blue.

Pulled her hands back quickly behind her, backing up quickly. She was still in great pain but the panic rising from her gut blocked it out. 'Oh God, this is what happened with Alex...' Breaking out in a sweat the room seemed to grow hotter and the a burning pain continued at the base of her spine. groping for the doorknob she latched on to it and tried to turn it to open the door.

Her voice strained and breathless, on the edge of panic. "I'm f-fine I should be going though...must get back."

Jonas was shocked to see that Ezekiel was doing nothing, and Blythe was trying to leave, obviously close to panicking as she tried to open the door.

"... Well at least let me walk you back to where you are staying and I can bring a healer to come see you" Jonas told Blythe as he reached around to help turn the knob and open the door for Blythe. things were very strange here, and Jonas was almost baffled of what else to do.

Felt a shudder of pain rush through, as she clung to the doorknob. "No, no it's-quite alright. I-I think if I just lay down..." She moaned in pain holding herself to stop her trembling. "Pl-please, I'll just head home...no worries," She tried to manage a smile but it came out weak and sickly looking.

Actually managing to open the door this time she stumbled out into the street almost falling but managing to catch herself. A strange feeling was coming from her feet as if her shoes were too small for her...

Jonas followed Blythe still, he was reluctant to let the woman go off alone, especially when it wasn't looking like Blythe was well at all. He saw her stumble, and he moved quickly to her side, but she managed not to fall, and he offered his arm to her.

"Please Ma'am, I must insist the least I can do is walk you back home....If you don't want a healer, that is your wish, but I shouldn't leave you to walk alone if you are not well"

She was trembling in pain now and cried out as her shoes became much too tight. Desperate to get away she thrust her hand out between them trying to push him away. "I am fine, please just let me go," She cried out drawing some odd looks. "Just a passing illness I'm sure." It took everything she had to have her voice come out normal and even, a trickle of sweat rolled down her brow.

She staggered towards the inn the best she could, limping and wincing in pain with each step she took.
