Not that it really matters what us underage kids think, but im wondering, who would you vote for and why?
I'm not sure yet. im still thinking about it.

i would vote for john micain(or however its spelled DX) because with hillary yeah having a woman president would be great and all but being a woman is the only reason people are voting for her. i wouldnt vote for obauma because he wont even put his hand over his heart at the pledge of allegiance. i dont realy know much about the other people but still

Yes but McCain is like....old as dirt.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 13, 2008 6:42 pm

yea, hes like 71. big deal. nowadays most people live to be atleast 90. and its not about age. its about where he stands. he is the most level headed candidate. hillary, i think it would be cool, and america is ready for a female prez, but just not her. she lacks moral fiber. and obama, if it wasnt mccain winning, then it would be obama winning. and i think that he is the best candidate democratwise. both obama, and mccain are looking to unite the two parties, ending the pointless feuding. i like obama's health care plan, but i like mccains everything else. hes planning on gradually pulling troops too.

from the looks of things hillary is going to lose the democrats to obama.
leaving it between obama and mccain.

its looking like a bright future for america.

That is a good point. I'm still not sure. Between Obama and McCain...I really dont know. Hillary is out of the picture to me anyways. Idk though. Like I said though, it doesnt matter what we think, we're too young. bleh.

Honestly, i would like to see Clinton in office, but more and more i'm thinking Obama is going to be the democrat nominee. That aside, i think our best bet right now would be McCain. He's level headed and has a good plan for America in the long run. That said, i think all the candidates are wrong about Iraq. Bush was stupid to put us in that position, but we're there now, so we should follow through. The only war that has remotely been close to this was Vietnam, and we all know how that went. Politics and open war go together about as well as fire and gasoline. We can't pull out untill its clear that Iraq has set it self up in a position it could defend itself from not only terrorist and Muslim extremist, but also an invading country. Should America pull out now, its lose-lose. The hundreds of thousands of deaths, the men and women who gave their lives, would have died for not much more than a fledgling republic that can't support itself. That said, if we pull out now or in the near future, we leave an ailing country open to insurrection and attack, thereby lowing the view of America in the middle-east. Iraq in its current state may be able to fend off random insurgents and extremist, but what if a neighboring muslim country decides to actually organize these bands of people and either take Iraq by extreme force or by setting up a puppet government where all the big decisions go through an idealogical leader somewhere else. My point in this is, like in Vietnam, Iraq can't be won by killing an opposing army such as in WWII, but must be taken in and protected for as long as possible. In Vietnam, most infantry men thought that, while the war was screwed beyond belief, that they were winning the good fight, only to be shipped home to crowds of people protesting them and their involvement while the lines they had held for years, the places they had fought hard for and lost friends and brothers at, were over run with little or no resistance. The end result is there is no long a S. Vietnam and N. Vietnam. The entire country was taken over by the same forces the U.S. said we were going to keep out. The moral of this rant? That the American people are idiots when it comes to political/idealogical wars. Had politics not run amuck during Vietnam, the war would have lasted a few years longer, and no doubt the losses would be large, but we would have proven our resolve. Our resolve is our one weak point. The general public is soft and wants to take the easiest route, meaning that they'll fight hard for something, but without quick results, they'll turn tail and run while cursing their involvement. Its because we give up at the sight of a high fatality rate that idealogical fighters are willing to fight such a devastating war against one of the worlds largest and best equipped militaries. Resolve is the one thing we lack, and the opposing forces have a surplus of, and because of that, if we pull out without ensuring what we came to do, we've lost, and a couple hundred thousand families can cry over their loved one's graves and say that their deaths were for nothing. ...Wow, i've really strayed from the point, but my veiws of politics aren't what you'd call kind, and i'm a very militaristic thinker, so there's my two cents =|

no offense, dude, but your post is rather stupid.
race shouldnt matter in who's going to be elected. and then, you said someone who is not american. in order to be president, you have to be born in america. and yes, he is american. black people are just as american as white people.

Since its down to McCain and Obama, I say McCain:
1. McCain seems to have more experience to me.
2. To me Obama talks like he's gonna bring Change, but I really think he's just saying that, and isn't gonna do much.

Now, What do u guys think about Obama's(possible) choice of Vice Prez, I mean I personally think he should pick Hilary(He would probably get more votes that way), but he's thinking about picking someone else(I forgot his name lol). So what's your opionion.

I dunno.. Obviously as a foreign devil I don't really understand, but I feel that alot of voters in America would be happy voting for a black man OR a woman, but asking them to vote for a black man AND a woman might be asking a bit too much of them.

I'd vote for him though, if I could. Don't you think it's time for a change?
