Watchmen. Regarded by many as the best graphic novel of all time and by far the best book I have ever read. It's ((of course)) a DC creation and and is about the crisis costumed adventurers, and one superhero, face as the Vietnam war rages on. The characters within the book had never been used before, and are based on previous DC heroes. Like the guy in the Owl costume, Niteowl, is based on blue beetle. A movie version is coming out next year, and I recommend this book to superhero fans and philosophers everywhere.

Oh, yeah, definitely. Actually public opinion appears to be that the movie will never be able to live up to the book.

The book is so full of plot that to make it justice, any adaptation would have to be either a series of at least four movies aor a miniseries...
I got the TPB for a friend interested on stand alone comics, so far, he`s at Chapter I and very engrossed.

Both Silk Spectre and the Comedian look like they can really kick a**.
Rorschach needs to get psychoed to keep the pace, it seems
