Ok, so i'm currently writing a book which is a cannibalized plot of all the books i've ever attempted to write since i was.... 10 (when I was 9, i tried a Pokemon fanfic... hence i start at 10 xD)

so:
who's willing to post up a summary of a plot that just plain fell apart on them and is dead in the ground?

About 2 years ago I attempted a Naruto fan-fic... HA! It failed so miserably...

what was it gonna be like?

I had intentions of writing a short story about a man who singlehandedly destroyed the entire US by faking the second coming of christ, establishing anarchy, and taking the place of the president. all just for research.
it got to big a project, so i never even started it >.>

oh, and I tried to write about a collection of University students who started a rebellion against censorship.

they're both being worked in xD somehow. it's GOING to work xD

btw, feel free to alter them and write them xD just put me in ur acknowledgments when it gets published xD

I liked the first Idea of your's and the second sort of sounds like a lot of stories do.

When I was younger, I was a big fan of Beyblade. I decided to write a fanfic using the characters, and after the thirty-second chapter, I realized it was going nowhere, and I ended it. I'm thinking of rewriting it, but I've been so busy with school, I don't know if it's going to happen. If it doesn't, oh well. I have a sequal to write anyway to another story.

Every one of the stories I've written ends abruptly...

When I was 16something, I had the idea I could write up something interesting. When I later found out that they were not really interesting at all, and just stories I absorbed and placed myself in it, I quit writing things.

Now I leave everything to my imagination 3nodding

In general I've been learning that my ideas are better suited for movie-type venues, and sound kind of dumb in book format. Like, I'll have characters pause for a long time in my head for some sort of dramatic effect, which works in a movie, but in a book the longest you can get the reader to stop is with some glorified version of "there was a pause," essentially.

I've gone through so many plots over the years that I can barely remember them all. xD

A friend and I had the sudden idea to write a zombie encounter book.

We wrote some, and then it just died. Abuptly.

Changing interests, I guess. I still love zombies though.

I've had two books I've written, and a third in the making. Te first was a total bomb.
It was the man who finds this book that actually belongs to a cult that plans on raising Satan from hell, and they have this virus that infects people and turns them into demons. So he obviously has to stop all of this, but then he finds out that he's actually a prototype of the virus.
It was actually really cool, I just didn't write it corretly. SO it was epic fail.

I've written a few things. Short stories, mostly.
When I try to write novels, I get bored halfway through writing them and they end up having abrupt endings.

I have been thinking though of combining some of my works into some massive idea.
All I need to do now is connect several half-finished and radically different ideas into something coherent...

I'm better at short stories. Less commitment needed.
I always have good ideas for plots, but they never take off.
My latest attempt was a story about a young boy who witnesses the accidental drowning of his little sister, but I stopped after the first chapter.

I had this idea of a story about girls who are secretly cats ...
My plot completely fell apart...
