Divorce is never a nice subject,
It's about second only to death for least favorite subjects for most people.
I know of 2 couples who have Divorced.
The first was that of my best friends parents,
She had a breakdown due to stress when we were still at school. she made a i think 99% recovery. I don't think you ever quite become yourself again after a breakdown. I know my friend never seemed to want to talk about it too much. and although i don't see him that often he doesn't tell me much about what goes on with his family.
I say this because i also knew his 2 younger twin brothers quite well. I think that the family has never really recovered, but then the Divorce after the breakdown kinda killed a lot of things. but my best friend who lives with his dad has still followed his moms passion for cooking because he's a chef.
The other Divorce i know about was that of the church vicar who will be leaving the Parish after easter to work somewhere about 300 miles away the other side of the country. the cause of the Divorce was possibly caused by the stress of the job. Because our parish has kinda been through a long series of troubles. and for a while she was the only licensed minister in what should be a full team ministry.
Stress leads to drugs and drink which leads to a divorce. It's nasty but it's overdue for her to move on by about 9 1/2 years because she's been with the parish for 10 years on what started as a 6 month placement. mind you her new parish will be well off because in that time she's done virtually everything.
If anyone else has an experience of knowing people who have Divorced if you want to share it, this thread is for that.
