 The snow! The snow had almost all gone...well, not really. There were still wide spaces of the territory covered in the cold and white blanket, most definately. But there were finally spots of green and brown appearing too. And that was enough to make the young female happy and energetic. Aylin skipped around on her slender legs, her grace often bothered though by her wobbly knees. Smiling lightly to each herd member that she passed, the young deer was quite the pleasant child. A surprise, considering her tough lineage.
Blue eyes peeked under and between the long legs of the adult deers. She was in a playful mood, but couldn't post her other siblings. Just who was she supposed to spend her day with?

So the grass was finally peeking it's green tips out of the snow,eh? Well it was about time.. She hated the snow. It was so cold, and it kept all the sweet grass hidden!
Course..She didnt know what life was like without snow. Being as young as she was, snow was the only way of life she knew.. But the snow was so bad!
She grumbled, kicking a good kick of snow out from under her hoof.
"Stupid snow."
She said, ears going back.

Star speckled ears lifted as the deer curiously looked around. Oh, was that the voice of another youngling? Aylin smiled to the idea, and began skip-trotting around the herd. It didn't take her long to find the other girl, they were both small against the splash of adult bodies. She made her way to the other, immediately noticing the moon on her chest as well. They must have the same papa!
"Hello there." She stretched her neck down and tilted her head, glancing at the moody face of the white deer. "My name is Aylin. Daughter of the Lord, Brychan! But...I don't think I know your name..." There were far too many siblings to keep count of. But seeing the brown on the other's fur was enough to say they had different mothers. And Aylin could tell the other was still young, well, at least younger than herself.

She looked up, and realized she'd made a fool of herself in front of her herd. Oh how this sucked. She blew out a puff of air, rolling her eyes at the same time.
"G'day." She said, flicking her tail, and raising an eyebrow at the lowered neck of the other. She wouldnt say anything of course.. After all, she was intensely lonely today.
"I am Adalae, Daughter of Lord Brychan and Siani." She said, noticing the similarities of themselves, and then the differences.
Her mother had been brown, white and black streaks running her legs.. She, had inherited that beauty.. But this one looked much like her father.. Very much so.. Why didnt she get a starry pelt?! Oh well.. She was okay with who she was.

Aylin let her ears flit back with a pout on her maw. Was that all? Tail bobbled as she considered the other for a moment. Her tone had sounded almost...grumpy. Or maybe she always sounded like that? But she smiled to the name of her father, glad to know she was correct. Another sister...well half sister, but sibling to play with!
The starry girl leapt and froliced in a small circle before facing Adalae once more. Her front legs kicked up playfully, swinging lightly in the air. "Heyyy, we both have A names.~" It was so amusing to the girl, and she couldn't help but giggle. "Oh!" She blinked as she realized she was standing in snow again. She preferred the odd and warmer feeling of grass, so she moved along towards some.

Adalae watched in amusement, smiling a bit, but trying to hold her stern look.
She wasn't one to frolick.. but she was enjoying what the other was doing.
A half-sister aye? Well.. She was okay with her full sister, so maybe this was okay..
"So we do. So you are my sister, aye?"
She backed up slightly, just to beware the other fawns hooves, and perked her ears, eyes more friendly.

 Hearing some chatter going on nearby.. from what sounded like some fawns her age, another some decided to take a peek at what was going on. A black and white girl, with a moon shape on her back came trotting along, ears flecked forwards and eyes looking most curious. "Hey!" she called out, a bright gring on her face. She'd seen the black one before.. but the grey and brown one was new... she looked younger also. Selina was the same age Aylin, so that was really of little surprise. Still, she was quite eager to meet some others!

Aylin nodded pleasantly. "Yep yep, that makes us sisters. I'm not sure how many more there are though..." Of course she wasn't the oldest, and now she was certain she wasn't the youngest. Her frolicing paused in light of this idea, and the girl wondered. Maybe she should just spnd one whole evening scouting the herd and counting the siblings!
Long neck curved as she looked behind her without moving her torso, hearing another voice aimed their way. Another moon child! And she could faintly remember this one. "Se...Selina? Is that you?" She hoped she wsan't mistaken, else her white face would turn pink with a blush.

Her face looked.. almost okay with the idea.. Like she had thought before, she had a sister, and she got along okay with her sister.. What would it hurt to have an older sister to look up to, and maybe take on a few traits from?
But the other voice scared her a bit, and she jumped out of the way, her eyes kinda wide.
Her tail flicked, and she cocked her head, her chocolate eyes gleaming.
She had a white face, though that was all she could really make of the other.

Selina laughed at Aylin's reaction and nodded, "Of course it is! You sound surprised!" She rolled her blue eyes a bit.. wondering if it was such a miracle to see her or something. When the younger girl jumped, Selina just gave her a grin, "Hey there.. my name's Selina." She glanced at Aylin, "A little sister?" she asked, refering to the currently, to her, nameless younger fawn.
She had heard Siani had finally had her own young, she just hadn't seen any of them. Although she knew there was a boy among them atleast, but obviously.. this was no boy.

Aylin giggled as Adalae jumped to Selina's presence. Light hooves traveled over to the browned sister, and Aylin nudged her nose lightly on Adalae's back before standing at her side like a calming support. Blue eyes flitted to her sister in delight. "Of course I'm surprised! Not everyday I see my same-aged siblings, eh?"
Her white masked face turned back and forth between the two girls, smiling all the while. "Selina, this is Adalae. Adalae, Selina." Her tail moved rapidly, like a leaf in a gust of wind to show her happiness.

Adalae had known her father had produced many fawns, but when she had run into two already?!
"Selina, hello.. I'm Adalae.. Addie." She said, quickly correcting herself.
She looked to them both, and couldn't tell if they were completely related, or only held together by the genes of their father.
"Are you guys,.. Full sisters?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, and flicking her little tail.
She, so far, was okay with the two.. so she hoped they stayed in her good graces. She'd hate to deem them not worth her time.
She looked about her, but her eyes kept falling on the Ivory fawn, and then the one that looked close to her father.
One thing she did notice however, were these fawns were older than she.. By a few months, she'd guess.

Selina grinned as Aylin introduced the both of them, dipping her head slightly to her younger half sister, "Its a pleasure to meet you Adalae." She was always up for meeting new sisters.. or brothers.. but you know how boys are, they can be a real pain.
She then shook her head at Adalae's question, "Naw... my mother is Rhomae... but she's friends with Aylin's mom, so we see each other now and then." She just shrugged before folding her legs beneath her to settle in the grass and soak up the sun.

The starred female nodded happily between the two of them, walking lightly ahead just to move her legs. So many siblings and different mothers to talk about. But that was supposedly normal for herds, or at least as far as Aylin could tell in her youth. Tiny hooves made thier way aimlessly around, the daughter being distracted momentarily by a butterfly.
So much for sparking any chatter.

So daddy did get around, huh? Oh well.. She wasn't too concerned. She didn't know what monogamy was anyway. Her mother had told her she had many siblings.. She just didn't imagine it would be.. this many.
She gave a smile, also taking a place on teh ground. Her legs were tired. She'd been traveling for awhile now, and all this standing and talking?...Well why stand and talk when you could sit and do the same.
Conserving energy. My was she a smart fawn already. She gave a proud grin to her inside thoughts, and looked back to Selina.
"Well that's neat. I have a sister and a brother.. But I didn't know I had so many out... here. I assumed otherwise."
She said, looking at both of the fawns, and beaming.
