Ok, so since its totally unfair is person A signs in every day and checks this guild, and person B does too, but person A see's this first, goes to translation site, and beats person B to the punch, i say we have the game every monday or so. I personally say monday, about 3:00 PST. Cause thats where i live, and the time i get home. ^_^ Any suggestion, comment, concern?

I think we should have rules for the competitions too. 3nodding And I like especially your idea about starting on monday. ...psst... Garfield hates us now... xd

How about if:
¤ everybody who wants to arrange somekind of contest has to start it on monday (the exact time is a little tricky because our guild members live in different continents and might be sleeping when it's 3:00 PST)
¤ all the contests last 1 week / 2 weeks / 1 month or something (depending on the arranger)
¤ the arranger will judge all the answers and give the prize to the person who got the translation right or otherwise won... Or share the prize with a few contestants.

So what I'm suggesting is that: all contests start on monday (like you wrote, Skittle) and last a certain amount of time (eg. a week), so that everybody has a chance to take a look and try to win. We just have to get rid of the 'quickest wins' mentality. 4laugh Unless the quickest is also perfectly correct of course.

Ok. The only problem i forsee is that someone can just easily go to a translation website and found out exactly what it means. Which is why i used the quickness mentality. But, i like your ideas too. ^_^

What we can also do is just do a word game. Instead of translating, we use words. Like the word Gavel: A small mallet used by a judge to control the courtroom.

Something along those lines. blaugh
