Has anybody here read the "Kingdom Come" series?

I thought it was rather well done.. Though that ending with bruce, clark and Diana eating in a restaurant where all the servers are dressed as superheros was rather funny.

I thought it was well done, a world full of superheros, a world in which Superman has retired after the death of Lois at the hands of the Joker.
Refusing to kill the joker, Superman retired after another superhero ended the jokers life and was given the title "The Man of Tomorrow."

There are so many superheros in this story line that their often fighting each other, not supervillians all that much.

Suprisingly the hero of the story line is some one you wont expect, i wont ruin that part of the ending, so you have to read "Kingdom Come" to see what happens.

I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'll have to check it out from my local library.

Don`t waste time, go read it as soon as you can!

As said, it`s a very good story, full of character; of people who tries hard to do good in an impossible situation and makes very grave mistakes.

The new generation of heroes is a direct stab at the extreme violence anti-hero of the 90`s, opposed by the old guard/s, represented by superman, who takes a hands-on approach, and Batman, who goes for a more subtle way

Inevitably, these three factions clash, and the fight takes biblical proportions in no time (plus, the biblical apocalypse is used as a backdrop to the story, but is well handled)

And, lastly, the art is filled with cameos! Bjôrk, the Village People, the Wonder Twins from Superfriends, Rorschach, and many others are around there!
