Lol this happened yesterday to a friend of mine when he was working on his Windows Vista Computer. He was happily recording some stuff on DVD when suddenly the windows vista clean up start working saying it would clean up the stuff on the computer, after quite a while he started to think it was strange why was his computer so slow and why the cleaning up was taking so long to end, so he went to take a look to see what it was doing. You can't imagine how was he surprise to see windows cleaning up the desktop folder and he started to see all the stuff he had on the desktop disappearing eek Well and what happen Windows Vista deleted himself from the computer leaving only the folder structure xd Seems that windows vista is quite aware of it's status of garbage right? blaugh

Probably the best thing to do
Has anyone noticed M$'s last attempt to better their future? Giving free Windows development/programming software to ten random country's (Has yet to happen, but they say they will) Their clams that will start producing open source tech The unofficial "We will not press charges on the 240 patent violations" (Wonder what they did with Balmer for that one) Novell showing up to the Windows Server 2008 presentation and visualized 2003 on SUSE and showing it off. (Don't know how well that one when over)

LOL I don't think that will help them ^^; Windows Xp was bad but not so bad for ppl not to be able to work with it. But Vista omg they are killing them selves just because they want to monopolist the hardware too <.<. I hope they die ^^; (company of course)

vendion Zher GodFly HAHAHAHAH superb fun hahahah didnt know that ppl ahve that much problem whit vista I haven't had any major issues Have you seen it take 10+ hours to shut down? I have... Nope, I have never seen a retard trying to shut down Vista. Seriously, I bet with the event of last week, that caused you all more suffering with your OS, than I have with Vista combined.

It wasn't a retard that tried to tell it to turn off, trust me. You talking about the VMslice bug? That was nothing, hell I bet Vista still has its suicide button. xd

Ask anybody with major Linux projects if it was important, your answer will be different. Suicide button? Maybe.... it would be cool. I wish i knew of a Mac suicide button... crash every one in Best Buy's display

I wish i knew of a Mac suicide button... crash every one in Best Buy's display It was local only so unless you had a easy to guess password then it was fine. Also most people who could not afford to wait for the patch could remove VMslice from their kernel, it would only take minutes.

Vista has more trouble, in the CHUGALUG meeting today one guy, the IT admin at a life-care company here in town, was talking about how the company was firing employees for bringing in their laptops running Vista and wanting them connected to the network. The catch is that any other OS is welcome, but UNIX is very welcomed their IT department is made up of AIX fans.
