In pre-Islsmic Arbian mythology, Allat (otherwise translated as Alilat) was one of the three chief goddesses in the holy city of Mecca according to the writings in the Qur'ran nd was considered one of the "Daughters of God". She was sometimes refered to as a triple goddess of the moon, each of her three aspects corresponding to a different phases of the moon's cycle. These were Q're the maiden of the crescent moon, Al-Uzza the mother of the full moon and Manat the wise woman of the waning moon. Her influence continued to grow from there and would have great impact on Assyria and Babylonia religion.
