I suppose I should put an little bit of a bio/intro.

My Gaian name is Ichiro Yamato, and my real name is Seaver Mai. I'm 19 years old, in college for the Spring semester of my 2nd year. I live in California, US, and attend Ohlone College right now, with hopes to being accepted as a transfer student into UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, or UC Merced. I have already filed transfer applications and waiting for their response.

I've gone through elementary and prealgebra without any trouble. I've studied 4 years of math in high school and have already taken 2 semesters worth of Calculus (Calculus 101A and 101B, in my college). I've taken Differential Equations as well. I'm currently retaking my Linear Algebra class this semester, because I dropped it during the Summer of 2007 due to lack of time to complete the course. I am a Computer Science major, and I'm taking my 3rd semester of programming this semester (Intro to C++, Advanced C++, and Data Structures with C++ and Standard Template Library).

In my spare time, I am an avid computer gamer. I've played many, many online games, too many that it'll be too much trouble to list. My current games that I play are Shattered Galaxy and Warcraft III. Besides computer gaming, I also engage in sports such as downhill skiing, swimming, badminton, and various side-interests such as Wu Shu (Chinese martial arts) and Digital Imaging (2 years during high school - proficient at Photoshop CS2).

I hope this gives you a little insight as to who I am, and hopefully we can continue making this Math Guild a success.

Fluffy Summer Waffles
What does the B mean in 101B?
Probably a two-part course. While things like Math can have full classes taught in a single semester, to get the full benefit of a language course, it would need to be spread out over a year.

To be honest, the Japanese classes I've been taking are too easy. I could sleep in class and still get an easy A. All this stuff I already know...

As for Calculus, that's right. It's actually 3 courses. Math 101A, 101B, 101C.

I only took 101A and 101B, because while 101C requires 101B, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations only require 101B, not 101C.

Again, any questions with anything, post away in the main forum and I'll answer the best I can.
