I just picked one up today, even the Best Buy website said they didn't have any in stock at the location I went to. I haven't installed it yet, but I'm hoping to do that soon. Does anyone here own one? What do you think of it? A lot of graphic/digital artists I know own a tablet PC, but started out with some kind of pen & tablet (usually Wacom). I remember reading in one of the Penny Arcade books, that Gabe had one and didn't like it.

I love my tablet. I don't get to use it as often as I'd like, since I'm mostly away from home when I'm drawing. I usually scan my drawings in with my scanner.

I've done pretty much everything, and I have to say I like the Tablet the best. The Tablet PCs are awkward. You have this huge screen and you have to lean over it to get anything done. Sure it's better to see the picture and you hand at the same time, but it's remarkably annoying to use. And scanning is just time consuming, although I do like drawing on paper more then using the tablet.

I've been using mine more and more in everything from making logos to repainting screencaps from Disney cartoons, to actually doing some significant art pieces.
What I like best is that I can ink the stuff I scan in without having to putz around with cutting out the white space around the lines or having to use a mouse to ink. I use Photoshop elements 6.0, which is large enough a program for me.

I have a pen and tablet, got it for Christmas, trying to get used to it still though.
