I'm interested to know what you are reading at this moment. Or, at least the moment you post. We already have other threads for books of certain genres and what you've already read, so you don't have to post them here. I'm also curious to hear if you would recommend the book. I personally find that I enjoy books more when they're recommended to me.
I'm currently reading Ruler of the Realm by Herbie Brennan. For those who are unfamiliar, it's the third book in The Faerie Wars Chronicles. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy books. I also highly recommend that you read the Faerie Wars first (it's the first book in the series wink ).

I'm re-reading the Harry Potter books because I haven't read them in a while. Plus I'm already getting excited for the sixth movie, and that doesn't come out until November! I'm also reading Tale of Murasaki by Liza Dalby. It's about Lady Murasaki, the woman who wrote Tale of Genji. It's a really, really good book, and I very highly recommend it ^^ In addition, I'm getting ready to read the Pit Dragon Chronicles by Jane Yolen again. The trilogy is aimed at slightly younger readers, but I've been a fan of Yolen's work since I was about 10 whee

I finished Ruler of the Realm, and I still highly recommend the series for anyone interested. Now I'm reading The Bone Doll's Twin by Lynn Flewelling. As you probably know, it's the first book in the Tamir Triad. I'm not far enough in it to recommend it yet, but I like it so far. I'm almost done chapter six.
. . . I could read Tale of Murasaki for my AP World History class. . . thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to look for it. (I will also look for The Book of Lies 3nodding )

Even if you don't read it for your class, you should read it for fun. It's a beautiful novel.

I'm usually really picky about historical fiction books, but when the book is about Japanese history I tend to find it enjoyable. I've recently read Across the Nightingale Floor, the first book in the Otori series. Even though it's set in a non-existing place, the author wrote it as if the book were taking place in Japan during the feudal era. So I should enjoy Tale of Murasaki.
I'm about two thirds of the way done The Bone Doll's Twin, and I'm still really enjoying it. I've also started rereading Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. It has to be one of the cutest books ever! It's alternative fiction, for those of you who are wondering.

I've actually started reading Shogun by James Clavell. My dad had it in his collection and I snagged it LOL. He's in Jamaica, he can't defend their honour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm only a few pages into it, but it's awesome so far.

I'm still reading the Tamir Trilogy, but now I'm reading The Oracle's Queen. I still stand behind it when saying it's amazing.

Right now I'm smack in the middle of The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I highly reccommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction (though it's more like regular fiction with some aliens) and anyone who enjoys the Twilight series also by her. (:

I love the Twilight series, I'll have to look into it!
Wow, I've read a lot of books since I last posted here. I've read Faerie Path by Frewin Jones, Grass for His Pillow and Brilliance of the Moon both by Lian Hearn (Part of the Otori Series), Between Mom and Jo by Julie Anne Peters, Oh My Goth by Gena Showalter, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, Glass Houses by Rachel Caine, Ties that Bind Ties that Break by Lensky Namikoka, and finally I'm currently reading Small Favor by Jim Butcher.
As you can see, I love to read. So if you ever need a recommendation, feel free to ask me!

I saw the movie for Howl's Moving Castle before reading the book, so I actualy didn't like the book as much as I could have. I'm in love with the movie, it's one of my favorites! (Calcifer is the best!)
Jim Butcher is amazing! Are you reading The Dresden Files, or the Codex Alera?
