Is anyone going? Anyone here from Texas? Well if there are, who wants to get a gathering and possibly do a little performance?
My ideas so far involve Kingdom Hearts? Anybody wanna help or join in?

i'll be going! i'm in austin, and i'm trying to manage to pre-reg, but i'm tight on money right now...oh. and me and my bf are going as Rock Band characters and probably a VG Cats thing-the followers of the Church of the One-Winged Angel and the Latter Day Summons. ;P

I'll be there! I live not too terribly far north of Dallas, so I'll probably be there all three days. I may be doing a Gravitation skit with some friends...nothing official yet, though. Look for me as Ryuichi from Gravitation, Kio from Loveless, and Matt, Mello, or Light from Death Note (which might be what we do a skit from instead of Gravi...like I said, nothing official!).

I'm going, my aunt already bought our tickets. Not 100% sure what I'm wearing yet, but if nothing else, look for a Rukia.....my name tag'll say PhoenixFirecat (Yes, I'm her alt....)

I live 20 minutes away, but I hate the drive, so I'm getting a room. Plus it makes for having easy access to costume changes.

Whoo, A-kon! I'm going. I'll also be co-hosting the VG 'shoot.
I'll be Rinoa Heartilly on Friday, Rosalina(Super Mario Galaxy) and Mio Amakura on Saturday, and I-no(Guilty Gear XX) on Sunday.

Just so everyone knows, there's going to be a video game character shoot Saturday afternoon. We're trying to break the Guiness Book of World Records for most video game characters assembled in one area, so if you're doing a game cosplay and you can stop by it'd be great!
The rules say that the character has to be from a game first, so for instance if you're doing a Yu-Gi-Oh character, she/he/it had to have made its debut in a video game, not the anime, manga or cards. We're not sure if it will still even count in that case, so really we hope people come as more obvious game characters (though, naturally, you're free to do whoever you wish 3nodding ). Kingdom Hearts, for example, is a safe bet for being accepted in the final count.
If you have any questions, you can check on cosplay.com. There's a forum dedicated to A-Kon there that has a thread talking about the time and location as well as all the rules. Com, if you can, and help A-Kon take the world record!!!
