Avatar Movie Interview w/ M Night Shyamalan Pt. 1
There's twelve parts to this, but they're all only about 50 seconds.
So, what do you guys think of this? Good idea? Bad idea? Will you watch it?
Personally, I think it'll be pretty cool, and I'm gonna watch at least the first one to see how things turn out.

I am actually rather excited about this. M. Night sounds really passionate about this story, which is a good sign that he'll probably try not to butcher it too bad, as many movies based off of TV shows/videogames/books sometimes turn out.
I can understand the fear though. Diehard fans of lovable things that are being adapted are often ansty about things like this, and there is the part of me that is too...I mean, sometimes I'm disappointed with Harry Potter Movies and I hear the LOTR movies left a lot out too(never read the series)...But I still love those movies, and I don't think Avatar will be an acception.
I hear it's going to be released in July 2010! biggrin
So say the Zutarian Triumvirate.

So say the Zutarian Triumvirate. Same. I'm excited to see what they do with it, but also very nervous. There's so many scenes I wanna see in live action, but I know most of them will probably get cut. Namely the necklace scene. xP
But, I'm really looking forward to seeing the S1 finale on the big screen. =D It will hopefully be very epic.

I'm also really excited to see Toph. I wonder; would they use an actual blind actress, or give someone eye contacts so they look blind?

Wait, so they're using actual people in it? I think that is really going to cheapen it. Like how they made the grinch human style. It just didn't wokr. The people are going to be weird and it just won't be the same. However, seeing real person in Zuko's funny ponytail do could be interesting.

rachaella22 Da-cookiemonster499 I was really hoping for this to be a rumor crying =o Really? How come? Just in case it turns out terrible, usually when you mix live action movies with special effects simular to bending it turns out pretty lame looking (and if the characters looks anything like normal cosplay I won't even be able to watch the preview).

True. Though special effects have gotten a lot better, so they might not look too bad. And I think Mike and Bryan are working on the project, too, so they'd probably make sure the costume designs are as accurate as possible.
I can definitely relate to your worries though. *crosses fingers and hopes for the best*
