Espeon is the doting mother of the litter and mate of Entei. She is tolerating and patient, always listening to suggestions. She often frets about how others think of her and tends to be absent-minded. Known for being worrisome and protective, she keeps a good eye on her shussan and enforces rules - better than one would think. Something about the darkness scares her, though she hopes to overcome the fear someday. When she's not around the three, a klutzier side of her is shown. She is probably one of the most polite Seijins on the island and is often trying to aid everyone with anything she can think of.

Entei is the proud father of the three and mate to Espeon. He's one of the most gentle Seijins you will probably ever hope to find on the island. He would literally never harm a fly. He's very kind and bighearted and tries to help everyone out all at once, often doing his best to please those around him. He's also very wise and understanding, with the patience any mother would envy. However he can be a bit enigmatic at times and likes to wander around periodically. His feet are often restless you see and he often finds himself wanting to go places and see new things. He can be very conemplative and loves to have a good think now and again.

Hiei Hiei is the oldest out of the trio and - on top of being the only boy - is snags the role of being the take-charge little tyke. At this age, he's still learning about the world and dreaming about what's beyond. Sometimes, he acts a bit spoiled and tends to expect to get his way. Put two traits like that together and you get a brother to coaxes his sisters into his escapades. Luckily, he's easily satisfied doesn't ask for much. The little boy has the makings of a real family man.
      owned by d u s t - puddle

Amaya is the youngest sister of the bunch and as such takes on the role as most annoying. With enough curiousity to keep both her and her parents busy she's constantly getting herself into trouble. She's the type to go looking for trouble just to satisfy her curiousity. Often goaded into doing things by her brother she's very gullible. This plus her amazing reservoir of courage is not a good pair. She's very stubborn and it isn't likely she'll see eye to eye with you. It takes true patience to be able to deal with the tyke.

How do you get yourself out of this mess and who might aid you?

When LiiGHT meets FiiRE...

Username: ~InfinityTrust~
Shussan Name: Yuuga
Meaning: Grace
Prompt #: #2
Response:

Yuuga has always been the quietest of the family. Ever since she was born she has never cried or done anything that would make her stand out in the group. She's always been dainty and refined, and she's like a perfect child if you're looking at the situation from afar. But in reality, Yuuga isn't satisfied, usually no one is with their lives. But not today, today was going to be different, Yuuga would make sure of it...

Yuuga sighed as she watched her family a little ways away, not partaking in their festivities. Not only did she have the disadvantage of being the middle child, but she was also very quiet, never complaining, wining, or getting into trouble. She has never tripped and fallen, or dropped something, so her parents didn’t really need to keep a constant watch on her, and she was a perfectionist so they didn’t need to worry about her not following directions or orders. She… she didn’t stand out. Yuuga sighed, wishing she could be more like her siblings, able to attract attention in a second, but that was impossible.

Wait a second! Duh! Yuuga was a thinker, she may not be able to attract attention naturally, but if she thought of a way, she could do it purposefully. My grand plan! She started to pace and immediately began brainstorming ideas to stand out for once, at least hold her parents attention for a minute. That’s it! No, wait, that would never work… Yuuga sighed and sat down, this was harder than she thought.

She flailed her arms very un-dainty-like, this was so frustrating. She then stopped and looked over towards her parents, wondering if it had caught their attention. Alas, it had not. Yuuga pouted, thinking of something… perhaps she could do something that one of her siblings would do? Surely that would get their attention! She thought about Amaya first, perhaps she could cry or scream randomly? No, that would work but it would not impress her parents very much. Then what about Hiei? Perhaps she could walk over there and assert some force and authority for once… No, she didn’t have the guts to do that and for some reason she felt that something would probably go wrong.

Yuuga sighed and slumped, she wished she could just magically get their attention. She didn’t want to change herself in anyway; she just wanted to be a little more noticeable. She looked up and watched her family again. …Wait just a minute…. Of course! She slapped her forehead. Magically get them to pay more attention? Duh! Just ask! Yuuga sighed, not believing she had not thought of it before, just asking for more attention, not only would it not cause problems, but it would last a lot longer than a minute.

Building up some confidence she swallowed any doubts and got up. With dignity she trotted over to her family. This is it… moment of truth! She tapped one of her parents, requesting their focus for just a moment. Now how should I say this… Yuuga mentally shook her head, enough with the thinking! It’s now or never! “Mom… dad…” She said in her soft voice, though as she spoke her voice grew a little louder, “I… I want more attention. I feel left out.” She then realized something, she had been louder! And her voice didn’t drift off in the end! She blinked, then remembered that right now it wasn’t about her confidence, it was about standing out. She waited proudly for their response.

When LiiGHT meets FiiRE...

Username: Fallen_kitsune_thief
Shussan Name: Honoka
Meaning:From the japanese "hono" for harmony and "ka" for flower, she is named so because of her quiet, peaceful nature from birth.
Prompt #: 1
Response: "C'mon, Honoka, we're gonna play!"

The young Shussan didn't move from her doting position, perfectly content to sit alone and think, as she always did. Not even the ramblings of her sister broke her chain of thought, though her mane ruffled a little bit as she shifted her paws. She had no intention of playing; Honoka wanted only to think.

"She said play, Honoka!" Suddenly toppled over by a puffball of red, Honoka let out a shriek, pawing at her brother until he wriggled free from his place atop of her. The middle child of the group retreated from the two, her eyes narrowing. "But I don't want to play, Hiei," she said quietly, her voice not quite strong enough to indicate that she meant it.

"Awww, c'mon, Honoka, please? You never play with us," Hiei responded, pouting as his tail drooped. Amaya, however, seemed rather amused by the situation, and instead decided to goad her sister by prancing around her, tail-feathers swinging wildly. "Mom said you have to, Mom said you have to," she chirped, adding a shrill giggle that about drove Hanako to insanity. Nevertheless, she batted at her sister until the youngest retreated, and she ruffled her mane in irritation, much as she'd seen Father do before.

However, with Hiei's maintained puppy-eye look, Honoka sighed, looking down to the ground as she began to trod with them, Hiei happily skipping in his satisfaction and Amaya prancing as she always did. "Hurry up, Honoka, or you'll be last!" The youngest chided, which prompted a race between the red and brown one, bounding away into the woods. Honoka simply walked: she wouldn't win, anyways.

///

"Awww, why do I have to go first?"

"Because you got picked, Amaya."

"But Hiei--"

Honoka sat quietly through the squabblings of the two, her mane ruffling as she thought to herself. Looking behind her, she flapped her wings tentatively, wondering when she could use them like Mother and Father. Again, she flapped them, but felt no lift: they were still too small. So perplexed was she by the idea of flight that she didn't even notice when Amaya started counting.

"Let's go!" Only when Hiei nudged her did she come out of her thoughts, and quickly, she began running with him, her eyes searching for a place to hide. Since she had to play, she might as well make the most of it, and if she found a place where they couldn't find her, then she would have time to think. With such motivation, she began to look more thoroughly, searching behind bushes and under leaves and a smorgasbord of other places. However, none of them seemed to fit her liking.

It was then that she came to the creek: Mother and Father had said not to cross it, but just beyond the shores, she saw a hollowed tree that would just be perfect for her size, nearby purple flowers that surely would blend into her fur. She hesitated: Mother and Father had warned her not to go...However, the excited shrills of her sister from behind were well enough to send her plummeting into the water, wading through the trickling stream without so much as slipping on the pebbled bed.

Once free of the waters, she shook the droplets from her mane and quietly approached her chosen hiding spot, peering in the hole. It seemed empty, but she spent another minute or so inspecting the area before she found it fit to be a hiding space. Tucking herself away amongst the woodsy smells and airy wildflowers, she offered herself a shy smile, her wings hardly flapping in the small space.

They would never find her here.

///

Perhaps she'd picked her hiding spot too well; Honoka couldn't believe it, but she was out of thoughts, and actually (surprised to say it) a little bored. She'd thought of millions of things: about her brother and sister and mother and father and flowers and forests and just what it would be like to fly. She wondered why her toes were yellow when Hiei's were black, and secretly wished that her fur was brown, like Amaya's. She thought of how pretty her mane would be when she got older, and wondered if other people would think it was pretty, too.

But now, all she could think about was how much she missed everyone.

Honoka peeked out from her hiding space, surprised to find how dark it was. It certainly hadn't been that dark before: how long had she been out here? Afraid of the dark like her mother, she pulled herself free of the hollowed tree with wide eyes, stumbling on her mane as she peered out before her. She remembered the stream, but not much else, and nothing beyond that looked familiar.

Where was she? Honoka began to whimper, quickly hopping across the stream but not knowing what else to do. Had she gone left, or right? That bush hadn't been there before--certainly, she was already lost! In her frantic hurry, she began to run deeper into the woods, where she'd surely come from in the first place.

How could she have gotten lost? This was bad, really bad: it would be dark soon, and the dark was bad! She couldn't be out in the dark! Honoka whined, looking around for a way to. Go. Normally, she would have told herelf that there was a logical way to get herself out, but for now, she just wanted safety, she just wanted to be out of the woods. She just wanted Mother and Father.

But, there was nothing to do but run, and so run she did, her legs growing tired as the sun grew lower. No, no, no, it couldn't be getting dark! It was too soon! So frantic was she by the darkening sky that she didn't notice an obstacle in her path until she ran into it. Hard.

Entei looked down at his daughter in surprise, his heart skipping a beat in relief. She, in turn, did nothing but gape at him with frightened wide eyes, and then with a quiet sob she scurried under his legs, nuzzling her forehead into his front paw to make sure that he really was there. A bit shocked by the reaction, Entei could do nothing more than rest a paw on her head, comforting her. It had been a frightening evening for them all.

"You found her!" was the exasperated cry from her mother, bending low and nuzzling Honoka with worried whispers of nothingness, cooing her daughter to comfort herself just as much as the little Shussan. Espeon's look darted up to her mate, and they shared a quiet moment together, nothing in their minds but relief. Things could have gone so much worse than they had.

"Honoka? Honoka!" Twin voices chirped through as her siblings wriggled in, curling up beside her, putting paws on her back, checking to make sure she wasn't dead before also nuzzling her, the multiplied calls and words too much for the bewildered middle child to handle. Entei understood her fragile nature, and stepped free of his children so he could lower himself, allowing Honoka to quickly scramble on his back, to the safety of his mane so very familiar to her own. As Espeon calmed her other two, the family began moving home, simply relieved. After all, things could have gone so much worse than they had.

Shussan Name: Haruka
Meaning: Haruka means either distant, or spring/flowers, depending on which symbols you're coming from. She can be a bit out of it every now and then, but she's always as bright and gentle as spring.
Prompt #: 2
Response:

"Come on, Amy, Haru! Go faster!" Hiei gleefully shouted to his sisters as he raced across the small meadow, under his parent's supervision, of course. Entei looked at his offspring with a gleam of pride in his eyes, the windows into the indomitable, fiery soul that lay inside. "Wait up, Hiei!" Haruka called as she began to lag behind, her pale plume flowing out behind her like a banner. "Haru! You can catch up, come on! I know you can do it!" Amaya said in a grating, wheedling tone that she knew Haruka hated. "Aw, shut your trap, Amy!" Haruka said under her breath, knowing full well that Amaya would certainly tell on her if she heard her. Annoying little kid... Haruka thought to herself. As she caught up to her siblings, they skidded to a halt. "Kids! Time to go home, come on!" Entei called. Haruka loved to hear his voice, and hearing it made her feel safe and warm, as well as proud. Proud that somebody like him was her dad, and that she looked, in her opinion, more like her father than any of her siblings. "Coming!" Hiei answered back to his magnificent father, trotting over to where his parents were. After a little bit of nuzzling from their beautiful and affectionate mother, they started for home.
///
At the den...
It was nearly dawn, and Haruka was still awake. The little Shussan rested her amethyst-furred head on her golden-tipped paws, and sighed. She had moved away from the general knot of her family to be alone for a bit, and to think. Hm...what can I do that's make them notice me? I'm tired of being forgotten! Haruka stirred restlessly, gently fluttering her two-tone wings. All of a sudden, her eyes filled with light. I know! I'll do something that they can't forget! That way, they won't just toss me aside! Haruka's mischevious chestnut eyes slowly closed as she began plotting for her master plan, the one that would ensure that she was never forgotten.
///
Outside...
Haruka was excited, and it showed. She couldn't sit still, and butterflies were in a frenzy inside her stomach. She was having some doubts about her plan now, as it came nearer and nearer to the time when she would either be forgotten, or remembered. "Hey, Ha-ru! Daddy wants ya!" Amaya sing-songed to her sibling. "What for?" Haruka asked, but Amaya was focusing on a treefrog now, and it absorbed all her attention like a sponge on a spill. Haruka rolled her eyes, and trotted nervously over to her father.
"Haruka, there's something that I'd like to show you." Haruka sighed inwardly with relief, she had thought that he had discovered her master plan. Entei trod back into the den, shifted a few stones, and came back with a small object in his mouth. As he set the shiny object down at Haruka's feet, his daughter's eyes widened. "What is it?" Haruka said in wonder, the awe sparkling in her eyes sprinkled with insatiable curiosity.
"It's something I found in the woods a long time ago." Entei said, a smile forming on his noble face. "I've been keeping it secret, just for you." Haruka looked up at him, her face a jumble of overhoyed emotions. So he didn't forget me!" she thought to herself, grinning widely at her father. "I'm giving it to you, but on one condition." Entei stated sternly, looking down at his daughter that looked so much like him. Little did he know, Amaya and Hiei were peering around the corner, curious as to what it was their sister was getting. Haruka's face fell as she looked down upon hearing these words. "Oh..." she began, only to be halted by Entei. "The condition is that you must find a spot to put it where you will never forget it. I think of you every time I see it, because you and this treasure are so much alike..both unique, but you are much more valuable to me than any shiny bauble." Haruka looked up at her dad, a pure and heartfelt emotion now reflected in her shimmering chestnut eyes...
Belonging.

///
Later that day...
Haruka looked up at the stars, holding the sparkling round object in her mouth. Forget the plan. I'm already remembered, and I like it just the way it is.

Shussan Name: Aihibiki
Meaning: "Ai" for Indigo, and "Hibiki' for echo. Indigo, for the main color of her pelt, and echo, because normally she feels like an echo in her family, always on the back, pushed off, 'echoing' into the distance
Prompt #: #2
Response:

She looked at her family with glazed, hazy, light brown eyes. They where ignoring her again. A small, inaudible sigh escaped her lips. Her family didn’t nudge.
Her parents had suggested they should go somewhere different today, to spend family time. Her, and her siblings had voted for different ideas, hers was shrugged off, her brother and sister’s ideas being ‘more fun’. She loudly sighed once more. They kept on walking towards the beach. Right now, both her mother and father where too busy trying to get Hiei out of trouble, and trying to convince Amaya of not doing stupid or crazy and outrageous things like her brother. As always, she was invisible to their eyes.
Aihibiki decided to go talk to her parents; she needed to make an emergency stop. Nudging her body in between both her mom and dad’s legs, she whined, trying desperately to get their attention. Hearing her pup whine, Espeon looked down to her “What’s wrong, sweetie- Hiei! Leave that monkey alone!” she was interrupted as her older brother decided to do some crazy thing that would get him in trouble. Thinking her mom would be too busy, she decided to turn to her dad “Dad, I need to go~!” she whimpered, jumping around to emphasize her needs. But just as he was about to answer her, he turned his head sharply “Amaya, let go of that hare!”
Feeling she couldn’t hold it in much longer, she decided to go by herself, tackling her way through the thick foliage, and worked with her business.
After a few minutes, she was done, relieved, and feeling better. But there was a problem; her family was nowhere to be found. ‘Its okay, they probably already noticed I’m gone, and they’re looking for me right now! Yeah, that must be it…’she thought to herself, trying to bring up hope with lies she knew where false. Of course they hadn’t noticed. They never really did.
Aihibiki sat down, head held down. ‘What am I gonna do?’ she asked her self, ‘What if they don’t come for me?’ Deciding it would be worse to think about what may happen, she walked over to a large boulder to get a better view. There they where, at the far end of the road. They where smiling, laughing, in a blissful way. Not even aware of her absence as her parents tried time and time again to get both her siblings out of trouble.
Her orbs became glass like again, hazy with a storm of emotions behind them. Aihibiki slowly made her way towards them, head hung low. Back to her family, where she belonged even if it didn’t really seem like it….

(( Omg, I made then sound like they’re bad and ignorant or something xD;; ))

Shussan Name: Kaori - Her mane seems to be like a fragranting substance, or smell. And since she seems to be purple, the name fits her quite well since purple usually ends up being a scenting-like color. :3
Meaning: Fragrant
Prompt #: #1
Response: A small smile appeared on the young Seijin's face. She poked a brown and purple Seijin, who had been caught off guard by her speed. "Tag!" Kaori shouted in a voice of triumph. She watched her trot off to a tree, and Kaori eyed her red brother mischeviously.

When her younger sister started to count, Kaori's right ear flicked, and she had darted away into the forest. She was aware that both of her parents were watching her, which made her think. What happened if she went too deep? The thought plagued her mind, and Kaori smirked widely. Dashing around she happened to spot a whole - big enough for her to fit in.

Kaori's eyes widened in happiness. Her brother was still looking for another place to hide. Now, what harm would be done if she hid in this hole? Darting with her smirk wide on her face, Kaori fell into the darkness that misted in the cave. She shivered in sudden fright, looking around in the dark caverns. It didn't look like anyone had been in here for awhile. That alarmed Kaori much more then she hoped.

Shaking her head in anger, determination flared in her eyes. "I must find a good place to hide in here!" A pause, "In here," Nodding slowly Kaori paced deeper into the cave. Her ears were flicked up in alarm, as if something would pop up and attack her. Kaori had her weaknesses, which would be her fear of creatures that wanted to hurt her. Though, she had yet to get hurt by anyone, so what was the worry?

Kaori's eyes narrowed. Another hole caught her attention, and with growing curiosity she ventured in. This wasn't a hole. It was a den of some sort. Kaori brightened up and she curled up inside of it with relish. She closed her eyes and yawned, and before she had even realized it, she had fallen asleep.

-2 hours later-

The Seijin shook herself and woke up with a sudden jolt. Kaori looked around with now growing fear. How long had she slept? Gulping, Kaori wandered out of the den and saw a hole that led to light. But, she hardly saw light, aside it was dawing behind something. Now, fear did convulse in her. She had been sleeping long, and judging by the sunset, everyone might have been looking for her.

Skidding with shaking guilt Kaori ran out of the hole that had led her to her hiding spot. In no time she had made it to where he parents had been watching them. But.... No one was there. Kaori backed up, her eyes widening in shock. "W-where are they?!?!?" Kaori said, barely audible to anyone that happened to be with her.

Kaori stopped and sat down with her ears flicked back. "They left me!" She cried, breathing in the nightly air. Kaori stopped her whelps of sadness, when she scented something familier. "Mom and Dad!" Now, her voice was filled with excitement and joy.

Pinpointing their exact location, Kaori thundered through the forest, directly ahead, until finally she spotted her mother's purple pelt in the sunset glimmer.

Then, she stopped. Guilt rushed over her when she stopped. Her parent's eyes stared down at her with joy, but also with worry. Kaori's head fell and her ears flicked down. "Mom, Dad," Another scared pause, "I'm sorry!"

Shussan Name: Asami
Meaning: It's meaning is "Morning Beauty" and Asami loves the morning-sunshine~
It also sort of conflicts with her being the more neglected of the trio.
Morning is supposed to be known by everyone, and yet she more seems to shy away to the shadows!
Prompt #: Nombre Un~
Response:

Chocolate orbs shifted awkwardly about. A game of "hide and Seek" sounded like fun, but it was getting rather late to be outside.. Mommy and Daddy would worry soon wouldn't they?

Asami reflected on what had just happened as she padded away from her sister. She felt giddy inside, a sort of childish thing but it didn't occur to her that it was as such.

She was on her feet! The wind was racing through the cloud-like mane on her back as she rushed away from her sister. Little Asami took great care to stay apart from her brother, he always found a way to make her lose! She didn't like losing, it just pushed her away from the rest of her family even more. Quite sad, but the honest truth.

The little purple child continued to run until her little legs were sore from the movement. She slowed to a stroll and she observed her surroundings quietly. And not only was she quiet so she wouldn't be spotted, but she also was just that type by nature. She quickly scuttled past a few foreboding trees before coming to a dead-halt in front of a peculiarly placed stick. That was the mark, the mark that forbade her from going any further. The young girl whined under her breath, she would lose if she didn't get a good spot this time, and her sister was sure to check everywhere. Asami really wasn't good with games like this one. Her heart punding in her chest, she took a deep breath and gingerly lifted her paw over the stick, retracting it before it even set down on the ground where she dared not to tread.

"Mommy and Daddy said.." She thought to herself with an upset heart.

She knew very well she shouldn't be anywhere near the little stick, let alone be thinking of crossing it. Her sensitive hearing could no longer pick up her sister's counting and so she knew it was now or never. A time for decision-making, which she was never good at. Her tiny head snapped to look behind her as paranoia prompted her into believing she heard something. With a heavy sigh she calmed her nerves and dashed past the stick, her eyes closed the entire time.

"I shouldn't be doing this.." She reasoned to herself as the poor girl kept running, well beyond the point she was supposed to have stopped at.

Why had her parents set boundaries in the first place? Just so they could keep an eye on them in case anything happened? Or was there something deeper involved? Something more gruesome, more scary? Asami stopped running, her adrenaline had dwindled away and once more her legs were heavy, very heavy! Why hadn't she stuck to the rules like usual? Why couldn't she have just been a good little girl like she normally tried to be? Because it wouldn't impress anybody. That's why she didn't listen. Because it wouldn't get her noticed. That's why she had acted on impulse. And now she was lost and alone, shaking with fear and hiding in a bush, wondering. Wondering whether anybody would even notice her absence, or whether they'd just think she was still playing the game. Did they really know that very little of her that they'd think she'd play games like that? She whimpered as she thought she heard a little rustle nearby. She was shaking, shaking more hard than she'd ever before. She'd always listened before, never ever disobeyed! But, that had gotten her nothing, so here she was. Alone. Like always. Even with everybody around her she was alone, but it would all change wouldn't it? She'd get older, and they'd have to see her then! How can something that exists, be invisible? If she's there, how can she not be? But, once again, that would all change. They'd find her now, and they'd all have been worried sick. They'd be happy, and sad, and mad all at the same time and they'd acknowledge her.

And so with a head full of relieving thoughts, the little girl waited.

And waited..

And waited...

She waited so patiently, so earnestly, that day turned to night and she hardly noticed..

Until she realized that nobody was coming that is.

Asami let herself break down, she let herself shed tears of anguish. She needed it, she needed the relief that only the salty drops of spite would bring her. She never cried, never showed anybody that she was hurt by their negligence. And they had never known, but it wasn't her job to wear her pain on her shoulder. It was already a heavy burden, why add on to it? The little girl stood shakily and exited the bushes, eyes wide and flushed with dew. With a heavy heart she tried desperately to retrace her steps, to follow the invisible trails she had made when coming to this place. But her efforts were in vain, there wasn't anything that could save her now. Unless she got serious that is. The thought came to her quickly and her face hardened. No longer would she cry, and no longer would she get upset. If they wanted to ignore her, and pretend like she wasn't there, then she would simply accept it. So, with this revelation, the little girl made her way through the worn paths, twisting and turning in this big forest until she came to a stick. When she approached it, her heart filled with joy. She'd be home soon! Back with the people who ignored her yes, but she'd at least be safe. With a smile from ear to ear on her face she padded hastily back to where her family was, leaving the drama of going ignored behind her for the time being.

[ Saw this in somebody's signature and decided I might as well apply <3

Shussan Name: Miharu
Meaning: Beautiful Clear Sky
Prompt #:2
Response: Miharu sighed as her siblnigs were playing with her parents, her younger sister was entertained by a game of peek-a-boo with mommy and her oldest brother was playing hide-and-seek with daddy. She yawned and looked to Espeon. "Mommy~~" She said almost whining. Her mother seemed to not hear her, so she gave her a narrow stare and went on to go to daddy. "Daddyyyyyyy." She said, this time the whining was apparent. And yet, he didnt hear her either.

She rubbed a tear off her eye, after all , she was only still a baby. She scampered to a tree stump and took the daunting task of climing it, and when she finished , she yelled out. "Mommy , Daddy, lookit at what i'm doing~" She pretended as if she was gonna jump.

Her mother and father looked toward her in horror, what if she hurt herself? Her parents and siblings gathered around the stump. Although her parents towered over the stump they were still worried.

Miharu giggled and said. "Now i've got your attention~ For my next trick I shall dive off this stump!" She dived down only to get caught by her father.

Her siblings clapped and cheered, her mom sighed in relief and her father remained speechless. "No more diving, okay?" Miharu nodded. "Only if you promise not to ignore me, kay mommy & daddy? " Her parents nodded and nuzled her.

When LiiGHT meets FiiRE...

Username: Draconicfeline
Shussan Name: Pacchirihi
Meaning: Pacchiri- bright + hi-flame= bright flame
Prompt #: 1
Response:"1...2...3...4..." counted the older brother, covering his eyes with his paws.
His sisters ran. the older sister ran behind a bush, the other, youngest sister ran behind a rock.
They were playing hide-and-seek, and Hiei was it.
"5...6...7...8...9..."
Pacchirihi, or pacchi for short, flattened herself to the ground, so that she would be harder to see behind her bush.
"10! here I come!" Hiei came searching. he took one look at the bush. "Pacchiri" he yelped, "I know your behind there! I see your tail!"

Pacchiri looked behind her. There it was, her fluffy tail. she hadn't curled it around her, and it lay right outside the bush. embarassed, she walked out and sat down, waiting for her sister to be found. Her sister had hidden perfectly- no tail, feathers, or ears sticking out at all.

after a few minutes of frantic searching, Hiei finally found Amaya, the sister.

"come on, Pacchi! you have to be it, now..." he said, grinning.

"Why don't you be 'it' again?" asked Pacchi. She was really bad at being 'it', and never seemed to find them until she gave up. It was very fusterating.
Hiei stretched. "actually, Amaya hasn't been 'it' yet."

Amaya covered her eyes. "ready? 1... 2..." she started counting.

Pacchi and Hiei ran for hiding places. Pacchi looked frantically for a hiding spot that she knew wouldn't fail. she begins running towards the trees. Their parents had said that it was dangerous beyond the treeline of the feild they were playing in, and that they would get into a huge amount of troube if they caught them going beyond the treeline. IF they caught them. Both Entei and Espeon were half-napping in the warm sun, not watching their second-oldest child.
Pacchi ran as fast as she could.

"5... 6... 7... 8..."

she kept going, and hid under a sort of scary vine-covered log. this time, she tucked in her ears, her tail, and her wings, and covered her eyes with her paws. It didn't occur to her that she hadn't heard her brother say "10."

She waited for a long time, and with each passign second, she felt more and more proud of herself for finding such a good hiding spot. but there came a point where she got worried. she chances an opening of her eyes, and whimpers. it was much darker than it had been before!
They must have been looking for me a long time! she thought, I'm getting bored... i'll just go back now.
she goes back to the feild, and recoils in shock. Nobody was there! her family had left her behind.
She went behind the bush, the same bush that she had hidden behind before and cried. "Mommy! daddy! waaah..." she sobbed, her mask-like face streaming with tears.

After a while, she stopped crying, her tears all dried up, except for the occasional sniffle.
she began to try to think clearly about how to get back home.
it was getting rapidly darker, and Pacchirihi was growing more and more frightened.

she tried to remember how they had gotten to the feild, but it was hard to rememebr- it was a whole day ago, and she had had so much fun playing hide and seek, that the trail had been driven out of her mind.
She sniffles again, and this time a whiff of scent came with it.

Thats it! she cried mentally, I can smell my way back!
she sniffs the ground, wet with the nighttime dew, but still holdign the scents of the day. There it was- her sister's scent and her brother's scent, her mother's scent and her father's scent. she kept sniffing, trying to find where they had gone. The wet grass tickled her nose, and she sneezed. There it was! all the scents but her own converging and going the same way- a fairly fresh scent too, not yet dissipated by wind and water.
Pacchiri runs exuberently, following the scent.... right into the anxious paws of a searching family. She was happy- she was going home.
And she wouldn't play hide and seek ever again.
