We've all seen these thread floating around the GCD from time to time. I decided why not have one of our own? That we can all learn from! The discussion is simple, just explain how your user name on Gaia came to be!

My original username, onecrazysuzie, came from one of my nicknames, "Suzie" which also was the name of my dog, and the fact I am slightly on the crazy side.
Then one day while coloring, I looked at my crayola and it said "Cyber Grape" and I laughed. Then I got the idea that it would make for an interesting username, which it has. A lot of people have commented on it. And now it's sorta becoming my default username on other things as well.

I needed a username for a different website years ago and all my normal names were taken. I was drinking a Diet Cranberry Grapefruit Sobe and 'citrimax' was one of the ingredients. I was like "That sounds cool!" So I picked it and now I use it often.

I was flipping through one of my 'reference books' (i.e., a giant volume of nothing but flower types [I'm a sucker for picture books]) and Pennie Blacks were one of the ones listed.
I needed a new username around that time, so, well, here I am.
There's actually a crayon called Cyber Grape? :'D
Edit: Gosh, I just read the article on Ada Byron. Quite a cool lady. ^^
Edit2: And since I can't leave anything alone, Citrimax has some awfully nifty pages written about it.

Mine just....came to me.
But my original username, Atheanea, was a mispelling of the Greek goddess Athena.
Atheanea just stuck after a while so I didn't correct the spelling.

Mine is my name. xD Carly wasn't available, though. So I put on the brackets.

Mine is lame... I wanted a completely new screen name from ones I'd used in the past. I picked Fyre, because I thought it sounded pretty cool. It was taken though, so I added an A in there.

My first one, secrets_of_trapani, came from Neopets, and I never used that username when I finally switched over to all gaia all the time. I thought it sounded cool back then, but you know... I was 12 when I thought of it, so tastes change. My next name, Gatta Forte, is "Loud Cat" in Italian. I like the elegant sound of Italian, the music term, and cats... So I incorporated that in there. The name for this cat before it was Gatta Fortissima was Squeebot 2.0... I don't know, i just liked the sound of it, it's actually kind of my Youtube name. Though I don't have but one vid up there... But I liked the Gatta theme, so I just went with Gatta Fortissima... which, I think, means "Very Loud Cat" in Italian...

My usermame was created due to some bad experiences I had as a child. I was abused sexually by 4 people who I trusted and well I couldn't tell anyone about it because I was scared therefore I was 'silently screaming' inside for someone to notice and care. and the 22 is the age I created the username.

I used to play RO all the time before I joined Gaia. (Not the official RO servers if anyone is wondering though ^^;; wink I used the nickname Tsukiko there but it was taken here so I had to come up with a new nickname. Risa is the japanese variation of a part of my name. (Lisa if you can't guess ;P) So I put them together and came up with TsukiRisa.

Originally, my online moniker was Pygmalism, which I probably got from the myth, Pygmalion. However, in eighth grade I read this anthology called the Weetzie Bat Books by Francesca Lia Block, in which one of the characters calls herself Cherokee Thunderbat very briefly. Since I love bats and those books, I took the surname and just dropped the capitalization, et voilĂ ! Also, having a username that reminds people of Thundercats is just really awesome.

Me: "C as in Cat." Her: "Bat?!" Me: "April! Since when did Cat become a bat!? C as in Cat as in C for Can you believe I am having to spell this. A as in April which is your name and T as in Tiger which is a another CAT!" Her: "Oh. C!"
