One word: Crankwalk. razz

I think the potential for power gain in those engines is awesome, but my signature in another forum sums up my thoughts of DSM ownership: "Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM"

Another sig from the same board: "A DSM: If its not leaking, it's not working"

Took me a minute to get the picture but I found it amusing. Kinda subtle.

I don't care for DSMs. I think they look nice, I'm impressed with the kind of power that can be extracted from them, I just don't like how they are bastardized by so many rice rocketeer wannabes. It just doesn't feel like an adults car to me. (I'm 25.)

Does this question just apply to the Eclipses, or the whole DSM range?

No, an adult's car it most certainly is not. Speaking of adults, I had no idea you were 25. I think I've just trained myself not to assume anyone's that old on Gaia.

The DSM is badass. I'll give it that. If I was buying a car for looks, it wouldn't be that one. But when I see one pulling off with the BOV hissing, I can't help but think "Damn that was cool"

Another thing I forgot to mention. These things almost never pass their emissions tests, stock or modified, OBD-I or OBD-II, they're really not reliable cars by any means. Neither is the 3000GT.

So true! My friend has a 2nd gen Eclipse and was having all sorts of troubles passing emissions, and he has the 46ge or whatever engine. The cheap one. It's pretty well modified I, guess. I had to buy him stock-like parts on Ebay so he could pass. rolleyes

the truly riced out car that goes hand in hand with street racing the 5 o and street racing as it is isnt the eclipse but the civic

and yeah actually the eclipse isnt really an adult car its more of a high powered but cheap sports car
and sports cars arent for adults

however anything vip or exotic is an adult car because they are adults and wont have fun with their cars they just want to show the other adults that there car is nicer and so forth and so on

I wouldn't quite say that, considering there are a lot of adults with Corvettes, and those are sports cars, no question.
