This is a thread for video games overall. Do you like them, do you not like them, what's your favorite game or system? Generally talk about video games here. (Of course, no flaming or bashing - follow guild rules 3nodding )

So far, I'm excited about Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I have it pre-ordered.

What game(s) are any of you excited about?

I love Video Games. One day I hope to find a career in Video Game Design. It's a secret dream of mine.

My favorite games are:

Metal Gear Solid Series

Megaman X series
Legend of Zelda Series
Ace Combat Series
Super Smash Brother Melee
Soul Calibur 3
Earlier Sonic The Hedgehog Games(The ones for the Sega Genesis)
Megaman Zero (Just the first one)
Chrono Trigger
Devil May Cry 3
Final Fantasy Tactics (the one for the PSX, I hate the GBA one)
Burnout 3
Gran Turismo Series
Starcraft
Gunbound Revolution
Gunz: The Duel
Tetris
Metal Slug Series
Super Mario Bros 3
Pretty much any Mario game.
Warioware games
Half Life Series
World of Warcraft
Loads of the flash games on addictinggames.com
ANY tower defense game!!

(Bold Games are my Super Favorites, lol)

Currently, the only thing I'm really looking Forward to is Super Smash Brothers Brawl. When it comes out, I know that I will not sleep for weeks, just stay up every night all night playing it with my roomates, lol. I'm telling you, SSBB is one of THE MOST anicipated games ever. And that's why the keep pushing up the release date. They want it to be the absolute best game it can possibly be. So people, stop complaining, lol.

Well anyways, I haven't been able to retreive a Next Gen system yet, so I really don't know much about any of the new games coming out. I'm hoping to get a Wii very soon though.

Divine you have a very impressive and organized list there. xd

Anyway, so this is what I like...
Metal Gear Solid heart (Can't wait for 4 and the movie to come out)
Tekken
Soul Calibur
Dynasty Warriors
Nightfire
Battle Front
Call of Duty
So that's for the PS games....but I'll dable in computer games like KOTOR and of course good ol' WoW. I also love me some old fashioned SNES games. Good stuff that is.

Well, I agree with the Sonic. I do like the Sonic games on the Dreamcast though. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is my favorite. I like Soul Calibur as well, but I don't know about 4. I'm not putting the money into a PS3, and probably not a 360. And I agree with most of the stuff on Divine's list. But I do like Contra a lot too. biggrin

Yeah, I'm not putting money into a PS3 as well, too rich for my blood....well at least right now. (I recently bought a new car, that I'm paying for myself sweatdrop ) But one of my friends got one for Xmas.

I love Soul Cailbur 3, it's pretty beasty. I really like how you can create your own characters with it. Me and my brother have a lot of fun with that.

I got done playing a third time around on Soul Calibur III. I love the game, but I was one of the few who got screwed by the memory corruption. But it is really fun. The thing that made me want to play the most is the character creation mode.

I love hundreds of video games, far too many to list.

My favorite series ever was Tombi, it's a shame Whoopee Camp split after the second game =[

All hyped up for Banjo Kazooie 3 on the Xbox 360 now =]
THANKYOU RARE!

Tomba 2 was definately one of the greatest games for the PSX.

You have no idea how long I searched for the second one again recently. I tried going for 100% as well, missed one of the Life Pots x3

Oh, shoot, I forgot about all about these:

Shadow of the Colossus

Ratchet and Clank series
Kirby Series
Paper Mario Series
Halo Series (A bit overrated, but it is a solid game series)
Half-Life
Guitar Hero 2(Only played it once, but was really fun)
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Sky Shark
Pacman
Galaga
Dig-Dug
SNAFU (Intellivision)

And how could I forget my favorite game of all time! I'm so ashamed.

Ape Escape

I remember getting Ape Escape when it first came out =]
First game to ever use Analogue Sticks on a Playstation.
I got up to the theme park (I think) and couldn't find Specter.

Upset cause I never got to try the boxing glove gadget.
It's not that fun on Ape Escape 2 though.

You have to save the girl and the professor, and then you have to battle Jake. After beating him , I believe a door opens and you go fight Specter. If you catch all the monkeys in the game, a new zone opens up called Dimension X or something, and there you do final battle with Specter. All you have to do is catch him with your net, but its harder than it sounds.

Anyways, it was excellent game, very unique. The music was cool. The gameplay was phenomenal. I've beaten it 100% at least three times.

And I have never played Ape Escape 2, I've heard some bad things. But I implore anyone to try Ape Escape 1 if they can find it. It's probably really cheap to get a copy, seeing as it's for the PSX.

May I remind you Tombi 2 still sells for £50 in England.
That's nearly $100 to you. I got Tombi 1 pretty cheap at just £25. Ape Escape 2 isn't THAT bad, but it's just not the same as the first one, there are however some funky new gadgets like the Water Pistol and Bananarang.
