are they any features that we might fall in love with?not really. game launching maybe. just being able to have your own virtual place is cool in itself. you can put your own media up and stuff.
whats the deal with the virtual psp can you name us most of the stuff you can do with it?you just using it to navigate around the options, check your friends list, customize your home space, customize your avatar. use it to game launch. thats all we have now in beta
The Game launch does not work for most users. Actually I don't think I've heard of one that it worked for. It just makes the PS3 freeze and thats that.is home laggy at all? are there any glitches that need to be fixed? home is not laggy. i havent noticed any glitches. most of them have been ironed out in the past. its really plain right now though.
I lawl'd ^^ Home is currently overflooding with bugs. If crashing while playing pool, dissapearrance while bowling, sudden freezes during random games and crashes while changing locations aren't bugs then I don't know what is. There are glitches that makes you float in the air or fall through the ground too.will there be any forms of transportation, knowing that home is huge placenope. walking is the only way. it doesnt take long to get from point a to point b.
They do have that mysterious looking trainstation thing they haven't shown us yet though.since there are millions of psn users will there be enough apt. for everyone?yeah there will be. i dont see Sony not having enough for everyone. it would be bad if they were like "welcome to home, you have to wait till theres enough space for you to move it." that wouldnt be good.
move it? Erm, anyway. As far as I know they are planning a stress test at some point, since they don't know how many users they can handle at the same time. Home does get quite laggy once in a while when there are many beta users online.have you heard of in game xmb?yeah. its pretty much the #1 requested feature.
It made a short appearance back in the beginning of Home, but was pulled out in one of the latest updates. We were informed that it'd probably return before the beta was over though.will home need in-game xmb to work since it needs to access your HDDs media?well sorta. the only example of in-game xmb in Home beta is being able to see your friends list. you view this through your virtual PSP. as for uploading your media to your home space, you dont really need in-game xmb. when you put a photo on a frame, you just simply browse through and select the photo.
It doesn't really take any picture formats yet though. And its only pictures we're able to upload. Most users guess that we won't see Audio/Video sharing until around a year after the public release.will we be seeing achievment awards or such like the 360 has, we all know about virtual trophies? im pretty shure we will have achievements. then those achievements will turn into trophies for you to display.
Phil did show them to us when he first took Home for a spin. So I think it might be up and running soon too.can you name as special areas in home E.G. theatre, bar and such?theres only a few locations in Home beta. theres your home space, the game space, theatre space, and the outside space. theres also a secret space, but its blocked off by a door so we cant get through
the rumoured train station where you will be able to travel to "Game spaces" for various PS3 game releases to show trailers and put up downloadable demos. I think we've been shown Little Big Planet, Uncharted and Heavenly sword as examples already. There has also been the "Home space" which isn't available for us anymore. But thats the place you saw in the first Home trailers.what is this "secret space" or what do you think it is?im guessing either the trophy room or a store to buy stuff. when you look through the blocking doors, you see elevators so i dont really know what to think.
will most of the stuff be free, or you have to buy most of it, will we see stuff that comes with games?i think most of the stuff will be free. achievements will also probably unlock bonus material to add to your home. the only thing you'll have to buy is like luxury stuff like a bigger home and stuff.
Phil explained how buying a game and having its content on the PS3 would make you able to gain more items, from that game you just got.what are some things that you can do with your avatar? there isnt much. you just let it walk/run. you can have it do actions like wave, dance, expressions, and gestures. not much.
will there be more invitations to the beta?yeah. a public beta is expected in spring.
Not sure about this but I think they've delayed it for an unexpected amount of time.by public you mean everyone?well sign-ups will be for everyone. but the amount of invites are limited. itll be first come, first serve, so if you sign up first, you'll get an invite first. once they run outta invites, then they'll close the sign-ups
No, I think that's just how it went for the Beta sign ups. I think they want to start out with Japan or Europe and let all the users they can get in, take place in Home as a stress test for a short amount of time. Then when it has been polished a bit around the edges it'll be sent to the US for another stress test. When the US stress test is over, Home will probably launch worldwide. Thats just my theory though.were can we sign up?either the email you have on playstation.com or the email you use to sign into your psn account im not shure
If there really is a sign up (I don't think there is, because its easier to get peoples attention on PS Store). It'll probably be on Homes own homepage.is home all hype, or is something to look foward to?for PS3 owners, its something to definitely look forward to. with Home, PSN has alot of potential to beat XBL.
It might have, but it still needs to grow alot. At this point I wouldn't say that there's much to look forward to.
