So, what is your school like? Do you love it? Hate it? What grade are you in? Tell us about your school and discuss other people's schools.

Me? I go to a community college- it's my second semester there. I guess it's okay; we have a lot of student benefits there. I take classes at night on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. My classes are 3 hours long and mostly lecture. =/ I really don't know what I'm going to do with my life yet, but I'm going in the direction of veterinary technology right now. I'm thinking about transferring to Quinnipiac as soon as I complete all the credits that I can at the community college.

I like my school. It's okay I guess. Not many student activities, though.

My school is brand new. I believe that I will be the 4th class to graduate from this school. I'm enjoying it so far, as a Sophomore. Our school color consists of black and blue.

I'm in my junior year of high school. It's a nice place- plenty of different level classes, extracurriculars, and math/writing labs.

And, considering that I live in Maine and we don't have the most students in any one school, we're pretty lucky to have what we have. 3nodding

Now, if only Chemistry wasn't so very terrible, life would be great.

I went to university in Manchester last year, and studied Philosophy. The subject had always interested me, and I enjoyed the course in part, but at the end of the day I just couldn't be satisfied without doing something creative. The course was pretty demanding and there wasn't enough room for painting on the side. I ended up leaving due to both this and some personal reasons (be very careful about who you live with...) and now I'm working and saving up money to take a course in prosthetics (special effects make up for film and tv), which appeals to me far more. If I'm successful at it, it could lead to a job that I'll really love. smile

It's great that you realized that Philosophy wasn't really right for you before you went TOO far with it. Would you reccommend living on campus, though?

Yeah, I'm glad I figured it out fairly early on!
I would, definitely. I lived off campus straight away and got a house with a couple of people that I knew from school. My friends who lived on campus had much nicer accommodation, and got a better deal on it as well, although I suppose that sort of stuff varies a lot depending on where you are. Living on campus is a great way to meet new people and really get a feel for the place, I missed out on that kind of stuff and I regret it because I'm not going to get the chance again.
