Alan met Crix in the Foyer. This was to be his first task with his new family, his nerves were showing horribly as his hands shook in anticipation. The Boss had told them to go into town and " Establish the family as protection". Al took some joy in this, he always enjoyed helping people.

Crix was cracking his knuckles when he walked up to Alan, happy to finally be doing something that he was familiar with. He noticed the giant's nervousness and gave him a reassuring pat on the back.
"Whats up big man? You can loosen up a bit, its just Barton we're going into. Its full of pushovers."
"Horrible Barton with its colors and easygoing nature, IT MAKES ME SICK!"
"C'mon, lets get going. Don't want to keep the people waiting."
Crix kicked the front doors open and motioned for Alan to follow him into town.

Al followed Crix out the doors and down to Barton a little off put by already being yelled at on his first mission. After a few moments he responded to Crix " I just don't wanna mess up my first time. I gotta makes a good impresion..."
he brighted a little though " they are push overs ?"

"Yeah its gonna be fine, especially with how...big you are. Just stand there, look intimidating, and break something if I tell you to. Barton aint used to crime like Durem so its gonna be like taking candy from a baby."
They finally reached the sunny town of Barton and Crix sneered.
"God I hate this place."
"Seconded. Burn it down."
"Someday maybe. Since I mentioned candy...why not." Crix began walking towards a candy shop, deciding an easy target would be good for Alan to start with.

They entered the shop the unseal way with Crix kicking in the door. As the twosome approached the counter the old Asian couple that own the shop greeted them with a mixture of delight and confusion as to why their door was just kicked in.
The old man said "Herro mista Crix we so grad to see yew again! Yew heal to buy more dalk chocorate? Who yew big buddy? why yew two kick in dool?
Al followed Crix's instructions as he simply stood there and with his fists balled. He did his best to do like his old coach used to tell him " BOY JUST PUT ON A GOOD GAME FACE AND PLAY HALF AS GOOD AS YOU DO IN PRACTICE AND NO ONE WILL TOUCH YA!"

"Yes Herr...I mean hello." Crix said while casually walking over to the dark chocolate and looking it over. This place had less of a variety than the shops in Durem...he would have to order his favorites still.
"Those truffles actually look pretty good."
"Not good enough." Crix went over to the counter and leaned on it looking around the store a bit."
This is a nice shop you folks got here, and I gotta say since I came here, I like you two." He put on his best smile.
"And see the thing is, I would NEVER want something bad to happen to you guys or the store...I mean that'd be downright depressing. For a price, the people I work for, my large friend here, and myself, can keep unfortunate things from happening to your cozy little shop here."

The shop keepers face darkened as comprehension came to him. He said with his voice extreamly resout " Oh no mista Crix we no do that no mole, we move outta BIG city so we no have to do that no mole"

Crix's face became grim upon hearing this.
He hated when they didn't comply.
"Well check it out my friend, we just moved here FROM the big city, and rules is rules. I got my orders, and so does he." Crix took a step back and slapped a hand on Alan's back.
"Meet my buddy Alan, Alan say hello to the nice couple that don't want to pay us the money to keep their fantastic candy shop nice and safe."

Al smiled he liked meeting new people. " Hi ya my name is Alan but you can call me Al lots a people do" he continued to smile at the shop owners for a few seconds waiting for them to introduce themselves, when none came his attention wandered " Hey what are those they look awsome!" he was motioning toward the chocolate covered cherries.
The woman with out missing the opportunity to do a bit of promoting responded with " Oh yes those ale chocorate covad chellies, we make them special evely day!"

Crix held the bridge of his nose holding back a sigh.
He took one of Alan's hands and made him ball it into a fist, holding it out towards the shopkeepers.
"Alright, have either of you ever seen a fist THIS big? HMM? HAVE YOU? I bet you haven't! And by paying my employer directly, you can keep such large things from hurting you, your loved ones, OR your store! Its actually a pretty amazing deal folks."
"Ill bet you five bucks that this is all going to go horribly wrong."

Alan looked down and his now pupetted arm. Then at Crix, then the shop owners. When he spoke it was with an heavily agreeing tone " Uhhh Yea! I don't wanna hurt you!"
The shop owners looked a little frightened when faced with such a fist, but the old man spoke again still defiantly. " Yew get outta hele now ol we carr porice!"
