Whisper through the trees, and speak into the sky.
Yell from the mountains, my sorrowful goodbye.
Sail across the ocean, never turning back.
Till you fly away from me, on wings of midnight black.
My soul mourns for you, in ocean deep and infinite sky
Because I never got to you, in time to say goodbye.
You left me with emptiness, and made me cry for years
I've never gotten over it, my pillow's soaked with tears.
My voice is harsh from crying, every day and every night
I miss you so, without you, my world is never right.
Well, know this now, I'll join you soon,
People looking up at me all say that I'm a loon
I'm going to jump, to you I'll fly
I'll never again have to say goodbye.
Three Shades of Me
Flitting tree to tree,
color and wings whisper through,
blossoming once more.
Volcano erupts,
Fire burning all in its path
-rebirth from the ash
Red rose bouquet flies,
Petals fall as flakes of blood
-my heart has a hole
Flames
Burning, searing, blazing.
The heat tears at me, the light blinds me.
The belly of the Earth is exposed and grumbles for food.
It seizes it, devouring all in its path.
Skyscrapers fall, mountains are melted; nothing is left alone.
All is swallowed into the great flaming belly of the Earth.
It comes closer and closer, getting hotter and brighter.
The ground is being pulled back into the Earth; the sky itself seems to follow.
Trees are lit like roman candles; water hisses in protest.
Many are fleeing futilely, but all end up dead;
the force of Nature too enduring, too powerful to escape.
It is upon me, I say goodbye, and accept my fate.
But before it reaches me, I wake up.
How horrible a dream I think.
Then I see the lava rushing toward my window.
I feel the heat
and am no more.
Flitting tree to tree,
color and wings whisper through,
blossoming once more.
