Sarina comes into view for many struggling survivors. The bustling city is a welcome site after days of travelling, some in cars, some on foot. The building carry a hue of blue, indicating the magic present. A large building stands at its edge, rivaling the size of a castle. Shops, inns, and traders are present in every corner of the street and construction of new residential buildings is taking place all around the city. Many inhabitants of Eris (home of the vampires), Pluto (home of the elves), and Erukeshen (a queendom based on the idea of equality and peace between the races) have chosen to make this town home, giving the city an almost unnatural diversity. Ugh, just my luck. I sent Kiro to get meat so we wouldn't starve. Shizuka thought, she was running, away from something, someone. Stupidly, she ran into a dead end, she stopped running as she began to panic. She couldn't focus so there for she couldn't shape shift into a lioness or something. Seconds later she felt her neck be touched by a very cold hand and her stomach was pressed up against a wall. Her hands were locked behind her so she couldn't move, soon she felt fangs rip into her neck and she gasped. A male vampire, about in his mid-twenties, had bitter into her neck and she couldn't move, at all.

A bright light engulfed the vampire and Shizuka. The vampire hissed viciously, glancing back at his meal before disappearing into the ground. The light subsided, revealing a woman with her metal staff pushed forward. The crystal on the top had been what released the light and even though the spell had finished it still glowed gently in the sunlight. She wore a purple shirt and dress and hair that brushed gently against her upper back. She looked tired and drained, but not scared. "My name's Areana," she said gently, walking toward Shizuka. "You don't mind if I heal those wounds, do you?"

A look of confusion appeared on Shizuka's face. No one had actually cared about her in her life time, besides her puma friend. And now there is a woman who had basically saved her life. "W-Why are you helping me?" She asked nervously, she felt blood running down her neck.

"Those vampires are really obnoxious. We've been trying to find meat for them to eat but all the animals stay away from here." Areana put her hand on Shizuka's neck, healing the wounds created by the bite. "I haven't liked them since . . . it doesn't matter." Areana shifted nervously, checking Shizuka for further wounds. "I'm assuming you've been looking for a town? Sarina is just a few minutes walk from here. I'm heading back if you want to come with me."

Shizuka let out a large sigh when she asked if they were looking for a town. "Yeah but lemme call my friend." She said before she put her fingers in her mouth and whistled very loudly. She stood there for ten seconds, staring into darkness and soon a puma started to run towards her. Kiro sat down right next to her owner and yawned slightly, obviously not finding any meat. "Alright."

"That's an interesting animal," Areana said, bending down to pet it gently. "I haven't seen many Earth animals. Anyway, we'd better head to town. I need to get somewhere before nightfall."

" 'Kay." Shizuka said and crossed her arms slightly, that's how she normally stood, cross-armed. It made her look mean, when she was anything but. "How long does it take?" When the woman petted Kiro she started to purr softly, she was obviously not like any other puma.

"Only a few minutes," Areana told her. "You'll be able to find a free room at the inn easy enough, as well as food."

"Really?" Shizuka said with a little bit of excitement in her voice, she would actually have somewhere to claim her own, that would be nice. "Why do they just give away free rooms?" she asked, feeling like a total idiot.

"Uhm . . . you'll be able to stay for the night. They've started it so people coming in don't have to sleep on the streets. You can find a job on the mission board after that if you want."

Areana turned toward Shizuka when they arrived at the inn and said, "I have to get going. Good luck to you! I may meet you sometime in the future." She walked toward the large mansion, disappearing among the large crowd of people.

Caliah sat down in a seat at one of the tables in the Inn. He sighed to himself, exhausted after a long day of working. After a little while, a young waitress walked over and asked him what he wanted to drink. He simply asked for a glass of water, seeing as he didn't drink much else.
He looked around the room, looking at the various people around him. There was a chatter of conversation, not too loud, but it was fairly obvious that this inn was a very open place to be. Caliah sat alone, though, and he waited for his water to arrive.
