Entry 3Crescent Moon-Prologue-Vampiric Troubles
Luna watched as her brother, Matthias, tried to shoot down pigeons with his bow.
After a few moments, she said, “Matthias, you’re not going to get anything. Just give up.” She pushed her white hair from her eyes, revealing the mark of Luna, goddess of the moon.
Matthias shook his head. “I have to hunt. Father’s too old, and mother’s never held a bow in her life.”
Luna sighed and forced Matthias to look into her eyes. “You will stop.” Her eyes changed from the normal blue-green to a light silver.
Matthias shivered and pulled away from her. “You know that creeps me out.”
She smiled, mockingly. “And that, dear brother, is why I do it.”

Niko’tonure force himself to blink. Had it been two days since he’d stopped for rest, or three? He couldn’t remember.
Time was blurred to the vampire.
He sighed and lay down on a rock. Time to rest, for now.

Luna saw a vampire with his eyes closed laying down. It was, coincidentally, the same spot she went to when she needed to think.
Carefully, she approached him and asked, “Um, could you please move?”
Niko’tonure lazily opened his eyes. They were golden. He brushed his midnight black hair from his forehead and smiled. “Why, dear?”
Luna bit her lip. “Umm… That’s where I like to sit…”
Niko’tonure laughed. Luna quickly strode over and placed her hands on his forehead, and said, “You have killed many… Sleep, child, and let your sins be forgiven…” Moonlight came from her hands and Niko’tonure fell into blackness.

When Niko’tonure finally awoke, he saw Luna. He murmured, “Where… Am I?”
Luna smiled. “After you passed out, I took you back to my home.”
Niko’tonure sighed and stood up, then bowed. “Thank you.”
Luna grinned teasingly. “Why the formality? What’s your name, anyways?”
He sighed again. “I am Niko’tonure Hakuno.”
Luna giggled. “Niko!”
Niko’tonure sighed. “Why are you so childish?”
Luna giggled again. “’Cause I’m only 13, silly Niko!”
They heard a cough from the doorway. Matthias stood there, shaking his head. “Sis, you got a visitor.” Shiya walked in, smiling. Her black hair, parted to reveal the sign of Suna, contrasted to her fiery red eyes.
Shiya smiled. “Who’s your friend?”
Luna grinned. “Niko!” Niko’tonure slashed at Luna, a knife sliding from his robes into his hand.
Matthias saw it and quickly parried it with his hunting knife. He hissed, “What do you think you’re doing?” Niko’tonure just concealed his dagger and ran off.
Matthias sighed, and said while turning to Luna, “I don’t…” But Luna was running after him, Shiya trailing behind.

Luna cried out to Niko’tonure, “Stop! Please!”
He stopped and slowly turned around. He growled. “Stop following me!” Blades appeared in his hand and he charged, and stabbed swiftly.
Blood fell to the ground… Shiya stood in front of Luna protectively. One sword was planted firmly in her shoulder. The other one was rooted in her stomach.
As Luna’s anger grew, the mark of the goddess on her forehead glowed, and her eyes passed into an ephemeral white.

Niko’tonure pulled the swords from Shiya and smiled as she collapsed.
He turned to Luna, only to see her body encompassed by a soft glow, and scythes floating around her. The scythes rushed forward as Niko’tonure raised his blades. They broke the swords and struck Niko’tonure, tearing through his body.
Luna collapsed…

Luna woke up, and saw Matthias standing with a stranger. She mumbled, “Who’s that?”
Matthias grinned. “His name is Ryukai. He saved you.” Ryukai smiled.
Luna giggled. Kinda cute, though…

Niko’tonure saw a door being opened, and a vampiress step in. He growled. “What the heck happened?”
The vampiress laughed. “You almost died. Name’s Shishuri.”
Ignoring the greeting, he said, “You’re helping me kill them.” No one was strong enough to wound him… And he’d rather keep it that way.
Shishuri smiled evilly. “Gladly.”
