Entry 1
The Deck Is Stacked

A poem from Mobius Amadeus Nightshade's 'Blue Period'

Life is a game;
We're all such cards.
I used to be the Joker.
An Ace of Spades, even some would say.
The chips were, high, so were the stakes, and so was I.
With every hand I won, my poker face diminished.
There was no stopping me;
Why hide my pride?
But then the Dealer tossed me a bad hand.
The chips went down, and so did I.
The dice glared holes through me;
Snake Eyes.
I lost it all.
I'm flat broke.
Truly, 'tis I who am the joke.
Yet, I kept trying to win it all back.
I had to fold, for I was blind without my blind.
I used to be the Joker.
Now I see I am the fool...

This was written during one of the saddest times in my life... Now let's hope that it can do some good in recompense...

Entry 2
The One

It is you,
The one I choose.

The one I plan
To help if I can.

The one I’ll call
From down the hall.

The one I’ll help stand tall
If you fall.

The one I’ll stand by
Whenever you cry.

The one I’ll help stay strong
When something goes wrong.

The one I strive
To help stay alive.

The one I promise to be with forever
Because we’ll always be together.

It is you,
The one I choose

Entry 3Crescent Moon-Prologue-Vampiric Troubles

Luna watched as her brother, Matthias, tried to shoot down pigeons with his bow.
After a few moments, she said, “Matthias, you’re not going to get anything. Just give up.” She pushed her white hair from her eyes, revealing the mark of Luna, goddess of the moon.
Matthias shook his head. “I have to hunt. Father’s too old, and mother’s never held a bow in her life.”
Luna sighed and forced Matthias to look into her eyes. “You will stop.” Her eyes changed from the normal blue-green to a light silver.
Matthias shivered and pulled away from her. “You know that creeps me out.”
She smiled, mockingly. “And that, dear brother, is why I do it.”

Niko’tonure force himself to blink. Had it been two days since he’d stopped for rest, or three? He couldn’t remember.
Time was blurred to the vampire.
He sighed and lay down on a rock. Time to rest, for now.

* * * * * * * * * * *

Luna saw a vampire with his eyes closed laying down. It was, coincidentally, the same spot she went to when she needed to think.
Carefully, she approached him and asked, “Um, could you please move?”
Niko’tonure lazily opened his eyes. They were golden. He brushed his midnight black hair from his forehead and smiled. “Why, dear?”
Luna bit her lip. “Umm… That’s where I like to sit…”
Niko’tonure laughed. Luna quickly strode over and placed her hands on his forehead, and said, “You have killed many… Sleep, child, and let your sins be forgiven…” Moonlight came from her hands and Niko’tonure fell into blackness.

When Niko’tonure finally awoke, he saw Luna. He murmured, “Where… Am I?”
Luna smiled. “After you passed out, I took you back to my home.”
Niko’tonure sighed and stood up, then bowed. “Thank you.”
Luna grinned teasingly. “Why the formality? What’s your name, anyways?”
He sighed again. “I am Niko’tonure Hakuno.”
Luna giggled. “Niko!”
Niko’tonure sighed. “Why are you so childish?”
Luna giggled again. “’Cause I’m only 13, silly Niko!”
They heard a cough from the doorway. Matthias stood there, shaking his head. “Sis, you got a visitor.” Shiya walked in, smiling. Her black hair, parted to reveal the sign of Suna, contrasted to her fiery red eyes.
Shiya smiled. “Who’s your friend?”
Luna grinned. “Niko!” Niko’tonure slashed at Luna, a knife sliding from his robes into his hand.
Matthias saw it and quickly parried it with his hunting knife. He hissed, “What do you think you’re doing?” Niko’tonure just concealed his dagger and ran off.
Matthias sighed, and said while turning to Luna, “I don’t…” But Luna was running after him, Shiya trailing behind.

* * * * * * * * * * *

Luna cried out to Niko’tonure, “Stop! Please!”
He stopped and slowly turned around. He growled. “Stop following me!” Blades appeared in his hand and he charged, and stabbed swiftly.
Blood fell to the ground… Shiya stood in front of Luna protectively. One sword was planted firmly in her shoulder. The other one was rooted in her stomach.
As Luna’s anger grew, the mark of the goddess on her forehead glowed, and her eyes passed into an ephemeral white.

* * * * * * * * * * *

Niko’tonure pulled the swords from Shiya and smiled as she collapsed.
He turned to Luna, only to see her body encompassed by a soft glow, and scythes floating around her. The scythes rushed forward as Niko’tonure raised his blades. They broke the swords and struck Niko’tonure, tearing through his body.
Luna collapsed…

* * * * * * * * * * * *

Luna woke up, and saw Matthias standing with a stranger. She mumbled, “Who’s that?”
Matthias grinned. “His name is Ryukai. He saved you.” Ryukai smiled.
Luna giggled. Kinda cute, though…

* * * * * * * * * * *

Niko’tonure saw a door being opened, and a vampiress step in. He growled. “What the heck happened?”
The vampiress laughed. “You almost died. Name’s Shishuri.”
Ignoring the greeting, he said, “You’re helping me kill them.” No one was strong enough to wound him… And he’d rather keep it that way.
Shishuri smiled evilly. “Gladly.”

The World We Live In Today

Sitting in a room of complete silence
Everything was about to break out in violence
Eyes glared into one another
But little did they know there was 1 other
Glowing eyes watching and urging
The pounding of the hearts surging

Riots on the street
Nothing stopping the pounding feet
His presence was known Children hurt and alone
No one heard their cries
The only ones who notice were in the skies

The man in the sky...
He knew he was about to die
He marched proudly to the 1 other
He stared in the eyes of his brother
Eyes glowing bright and blue
The Devil knew what he had to do

After the battle, God lay dead
Eyes glowing black instead
What the Devil did next will fill you with dred
He proceeded to cut off God's head

This is the world we live in today
Forever and ever, you can't run away

Life is cruel...

Are there words to discribe this pain?
Can I ever trust again?
Just to get betrayed again?
Life is cruel, like heartless rain.

I am dead inside...
My body is just an empty shell that
wonders through life.
But noone can tell,
I'm in vertual hell.
'Cause my fauls smile fools them all.
Life is cruel, I am dead inside.

Why do I love? why do I care?
My mind is dead, but my emotions thrive,
I want to just run under my blankets and hide.
But I can't, I've tryed,
I've yelled, screamed, and lied!
Life is cruel, it makes me care.

Life is cruel, and y'know what? it won't stop.
hope lifts us up, hope lets us live!
But fate is cruel, and it takes, never gives.
It'll raise us up, and laugh when we drop.

Life is cruel....

Title: HOLD ME CLOSE AND LOVE ME THE MOST

All I want to do,
Is to be with you.

To hold you close,
And say I love you the most.

To make you mine,
Till the end of time.

I love you with all my being,
With all my heart,
With all my feeling,
And all my part.

You’re my love,
And my soul.
My dove,
And my whole.

So I want you to know,
To never let go.

To hold me close,
And say you love me the most.

Entry 7
The Actor

The camera pans out and the picture fades.
Everyone leaves, but the actor stays.
What happens behind the scenes?
How does the actor feel? Does he feel he needs to scream?

The actor, in his room so dark.
Lights turned low, will the actor depart?
Will the departure be from the studio or this life?
Has the actor reached a strife?

Has the strife filled the actor with emotional pain?
Or a ghost that need to be slain?
Does the actor feel haunted?
Or does he feel taunted?

Out of all the things the actor feels, he always feel he doesn't belong.
Will he sing us one last song?
Or will the actor sing us many more?
Why won't he just leave the studio and walk out the door?

Instead he takes a knife.
He wants to end this life.
The actor slits his wrists.
Oh god...he will be missed....

But wait, there is hope,
A cameraman forgot his tote.
There is a dim light on.
The cameraman goes to turn it off and finds the actor's life almost gone.

The actor awakes in a hospital bed.
He did not think he'd find the one he'd wed.
For he set eyes on his true love.
Her voice smooth as a dove's.

The actor forgot he was loved,
By this sweet dove.
He begged forgiveness and asked her hand.
Though he was not yet able to stand.

They married in that room.
The actor became a groom,
And the dove a bride.
Now the actor is filled with great pride.

Entry 8
The Account of Count Cain-(Passage from a short story)

Cain swayed in an array of directions in his seat as the train continued to grudgingly chug along, its wheels grinding and screeching on the metal tracks in a not so pleasant manner. Sitting besides him in the cab was an elderly woman who had fallen asleep. Her face reminded him of a clown‘s: powdered a pale white with the brightest lipstick painted on her lips. Her cheeks, buffed with a red rouge, stuck out the most. Her attempt to appear younger had, undoubtedly, failed. The train jostled and suddenly Cain found himself wincing as the woman’s head was thrown onto his shoulder. A thin line of drool crept slowly from the corner of her mouth and slowly made its way down her face, plopping onto her fragile boney hands. The dark purple plume which shot out of her bright green hat swept across his face and a sneeze shortly ensued. On the side of the woman’s hat was a light pink bow which seemed as if the maker had tacked it on in a hurry. The thing on her head disgusted Cain in every way possible and simply glancing at it made one‘s eyes hurt.

Looking up at the ceiling, Cain sighed and closed his eyes. He questioned what he was doing, why he was packed into the shabbiest train and why it seemed that crazy, elderly women flocked towards him. Maybe it was because those who were sane knew to stay away from him? Did they perhaps know of what happened back in London? Was his sin stamped on his forehead or written in the papers for all to see? Is that why they all steer away from him? Do they feel uneasy as his eyes met theirs for the briefest of moments?

It was true that everyone thought that Cain was different, but it wasn’t in a bad way. Unlike the others who had boarded the train, Cain was very wealthy and handsome. He wore what was in style during their time, the nineteenth century. His hands were gloved in soft, white cotton and his suit was tailored to fit every curve in his body. Sitting on his lap was a black, satin top hat that gave off a sheen in the dimming light of the cabin. No one couldn't help but notice that he was a bonafide aristocrat sitting in a third class passenger train. He simply stuck out.
