Sophie sighed and looked out the window. Her heart still fluttered when she though of what Simon had told her that night.... It had been months now. It was just around Valentine's Day. She had never paid the holiday much heed before, though Baron made a special tea in celebration. But now... She kept jumping whenever the doorbell or phone rang ever since that party. The other two, even Alistair, stared in shock as she rushed to answer any means of outside communication trying to reach them. But alas, Simon was continually absent as before. She knew their meetings were rare. She didn't know what she had expected to change now their feelings had been revealed.

"huh? Valentine's day?" Simon said to Pikachu as the yellow mouse flaunted up and down with joy, wanting to see his sweetheart, Mei.
"Yea! it's when you give stuff to the one you love~" Pika said happily hopping here and there finding somethings to add to his hand-made card for Mei.
"But if you love them, don't you get them things anyways?" Simon asked, looking enigmatically at Pikachu. The yellow mouse shook his head quickly and walked over, laying his paws onto Simon's shoulders.
"This is the special day for couples! you have to work your way up to this day!" Pikachu said, nearly shaking the life out of Simon now.
'hmmm... maybe i should get something for Sophie...' he thought to himself, brushing off Pika's paws softly. "i'll go make something now..." he said as he walked out of sight, then rushing quickly to his room, preparing things for feather-made roses.
------------------------------------
After a few hours, only one was successful. He decided it was special and Sophie deserved it. "I'm going out for a while." he said into the house, sneaking the rose behind his back out of the house. Tsuki allowed him to leave easily.
------------------------------------
He dashed quickly down an unfamiliar path towards Sophie's house. 'Maybe he should have called before he left... no, it wouldn't be a surprise if he did... He rushed quickly down the path quickly before she left or something...

Sophie sighed. Well, not being able to see Simon was no reason to mope on Valentine's day. "I'm going for a walk." she called out to the air; Baron and Alistair were out, Alistair attempting to teach Baron to 'pick up the ladies'. Walking out of the house, she decided to take a walk across the bridge and see the river. It was still frozen, but at least it would be pretty. She borrowed Baron's overcoat as she set out for her stroll, snowflakes falling gently but promising a storm.

Simon dashed quietly, huffing out smoke breaths along the way; rose in paw. He ran up to the house he was familiar with. He scrambled up to the familiar house that he had visited once before where they had their adventure. He placed a paw on the doorbell and rung it with a his courage. He held the rose behind his back in case Sophie answered the door and not Alistair or Baron.

The house was silent. But eventually there was a small flutter and a tiny butterfly wearing what appeared to be ludircously small winter apparel reached the door and fluttered though the crack, landing on Simon's nose. As Sophie could tell you, it was not Edgar, but his child, perhaps. Whomever it was, it soone alighted off Simon's nose and in the direction Sophie had left in.

Simon blinked as the butterfly landed upon his nose. He could sense the presence of Edgar... but while it was, it wasn't. His mind went blank as the butterfly seemed to want to tell him something. He looked at the door and to the butterfly. He decided to ditch the house and follow the wisp of Edgar he could feel. He scrambled after it, the rose still clutched in his hand.

Sophie's legs dangled off the bridge as it began to snow harder. She wrapped herself up in the coat and looked down below her. It was calm, and the soft breeze seemed to soothe her into a trancelike state.
The butterfly led on, pausing occassionally to make sure SImon was still following it. It flew carefully outside in the windy, snowy weather, small wings beating very hard.
Sophie closed her eyes. Her eyelids were heavy, and she could feel herself drifting to sleep. This would have been fine if she hadn't fell forward off the bridge and onto the frozen river, ice creaking dangerously under her weight.
