Some of my photography. Please note that all of this was done with an old-fashioned dark room, chemicals and all.

No photoshop whatsoever.

Camera: 35mm Canon Rebel SLR

Film: 400 speed

Classic silver nitrates (Black and white)

Constructive comments appreciated.

Thank you. smile

Yeah, that one was taken at church.

One of the better shots (ironically) was ruined by an inconsiderate woman who walked right in front of the shot when there was clearly enough room to walk around.

As was the case for a variation of the "A Hidden Place" shot when a man with a baby purposely posed in front of the shot in hopes that I would "send him a copy of the picture later"...

As for choosing a good camera, digital is necessary for a career in photography, as traditional cameras are being phased out. SLR cameras are preferable for professional phtographers and photography enthusiasts because they give you more options as to what is in focus, how much is in focus, showing motion, capturing quickly moving objects, and many other things.

Viewfinder cameras are best for the casual photographer, and provide a "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" effect without taking in mind Parallax Error. Viewfinders also tend to be less expensive.

(Digital) SLR and viewfinder cameras are both commonly available in most stores like Wal-Mart.

ah, people walking in front of the camera, I'm sure she didn't notice, people arent that rude unless they detest you that much.

your pretty skillful using old fashioned methods. It was a lil difficult for me using them since i didn't quite understand it, and the stupid feckers that walk in and out of the damn dark room

I liked Grandmother a lot.

I had no idea you knew so much about photography. That's cool.

Awesome photos smile I especially liked A hidden place and swing swing, and I love the repeated atmosphere through all of them as a group. Kudos for no photo shop too. 3nodding

Do you know of flickr.com??? Great site for posting photos and getting good feedback and you can join groups with people who are into the same kinds of shots as you.
