Sonata Arctica is a Finnish power metal band... from Finland xD
They originally got together in 1996 under a different name, but they started playing as Sonata Arctica in 1999.
The members are: Tony Kakko, Bias Viljanen, Tommy Portimo, Marko Paasikoski and Henrik Klingenberg.
Oh, in adddition to being a power metal band, they are also considered a progressive metal band.
Ummm, don't know if I mentioned this before, but they are my favorite band right now.

Other than that, there's not much to say about main stuff here... I'll post more about individual members and stuff later.
Recommended songs: All of them! But if you can't get them all, try Don't Say A Word (song), Caleb, I Want Out (Helloween Cover), Black Sheep, 8th Commandment, Fullmoon, My Selene, Misplaced, Mary-Lou and any others you can find.

Well, I have a small handful of their songs on my playlist, thanks to a friend of mine who loves to share music with me. ^^ Still have to get to know 'em a bit better, but so far I totally dig what I've heard! My current fave is My Selene. I LOVE that song. ^^
