What type of music do you listen too? List some of your favorite genres, bands, songs recommendations for others of similar taste etc. There are only a couple things I can't live without, one of which is my Music. I've got a nice range of music I think. Ranging from a few raps songs, through most types of rock, alternative, some pop stuff, techno-ish stuff, euro-dance, Jpop, anime these, video game themes, and extremly rare is an occasional country song. (like one country song for every Million out there) Some of my favorite bands include but are not limited too: Billy Talent, Smashing Pumpkins, Sum 41, Barenaked Ladies, DJ Satomi, Bloc Party, Cascada and many many more. I would say my favorite song of all time is "Tonight, Tonight" by The Smashing Pumpkins, followed closely by "Going Away to College" by blink-182. Others include "No Reason" by Sum 41, "This Modern Love" by Bloc Party, "Beauty is Only Skin Deep" by The Temptations. For those who don't know there is a site called Last.fm which keeps track online of all the songs you listen too and creates charts and lists of it all. I've been a member for about a year and a half. This is my page if you want to see a more detailed list of my listening habits. http://www.last.fm/user/DarkMage530/

I've followed some bands for nearly their whole careers... I really like Korn although their albums from 98 and beyond have been sort of hit and miss with me (although certain songs on each album i really enjoy). I've followed Rammstein about as long as korn (12 years now), as well as Marilyn Manson. I love Rob Zombie and white zombie, megaherz (another German band)
I also like Des-row *i think to be one of the most under appreciated punkers from Japan*, Gackt, Rhymester, Kreva, SADS, DJ Taka, DJ krush, Denki Groove and the solo stuff by Takkyu Ishino.. I also like Eri Sugai and Missa Jounichi (new age music types).
Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Stone temple pilots and other alt. bands from the 1990s, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Skindred, Pantera...I tend to like harder-rock.
I have a hard time picking songs.... hm. "To Forgive" by Smashing Pumpkins, "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam (i know, i pick the hit), "Wake up hate" or "did my time" by korn, "wo bist du" by rammstein... "Mobscene" or "Dogma" by Manson...lol i could go on and on, this is a favorite subject of mine!

Pearl Jam is great! I don't listen to them a lot out of pure enjoyment, but similarly with the Beatles I like having it playing as background music. Jeremy is a great song even if it is one of their hits. My other favorites by pearl jam include: Lukin (wrote a poem in response to the song) Daughter, another popular song Elderly Woman Behind the Counter In a Small Town, greatness and my favorite by them oddly is their Cover of Last Kiss.
Unfortunatly the only Judas Priest song I listen to a lot is Turbo Lover and thats mostly because of Gran Turismo 3... haha biggrin
Currently listening too "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys

Anyone here ever listen to Nerdrap before? This guy named ytcracker is amazing at it.
Part of the song called MegaNerd by ytcracker on the album NES (Nerdrap Entertainment System) "i hated gym - cuz i never was athletic i played a couple sports just to keep it copasetic but i found more in computers than i ever could in hooping every time i wrote a goto b***h i had that baby looping basically basic was the first language i spoke and i was telling apple deuces just where they could peek and poke i had a five and quarter floppy labeled please dont drop me used to load a million copies and no one could ever stop me
lived in the computer lab no one could separate us and i never did my homework its no wonder others hate us id get As on all my tests so nobody could debate us now im shouting from the mountain stc we are the greatest never get discouraged just let your nerdy flourish cuz were native to this code and the rest are all just tourists if it aint apparent now then just wait a couple years when your gas is getting pumped by every one of those queers "
is it just me or is that just awesome. Go and check out some of his other stuff, it's pretty sweet especially if you understand a lot of the references. Oh and on this cd all the beats and from the old classic NES games.

Gin Blossoms, Of Montreal, one of the Marley Kids, Al Kapone, and some other people played in a concert at my school this passed weekend!
For those of you who have never heard of the radio, Gin Blossoms were a huge radio hit in the mid to late 90's. With songs like Hey Jealousy, Til I hear it From You, Found Out About You, and Follow You Down. (don't recognize the songs, go listen to them on youtube)
And the Concert was freaking awesome, couldn't hear out of my left ear for 2 days! Of Montreal was pretty good too, but Gin Blossoms wow, what an experience.
And due to the concert I have taken a sudden interest in similar music most notably Third Eye Blind most famous for there song Jumper and Semi-Charmed Life. I am personally in love with their song called Narcolepsy, it has a great balance of mellow tunes and matching lyrics, with a perfect transition into faster and harder paced music.
I love Music! heart

xLink Hero of Timex i plainly just like Rock and game music! ^-^ What kind of rock good sir. There is no such thing as "Just rock" We've got classic rock like the who, we've got 80's metal hairband rock, punk rock yadda yadda yadda. Unless when you say rock you are refering to everything. CCR is some good stuff and The Who is amazing. Some of my favorite of the older generation rock. Bob Dylan is awe-inspiring to listen too as well. Oh I've also been in a big Bob Marley Mood. "I shot the Sheriff" is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. "I shot the sheriff, but I didn't shoot no deputy." Excellent lyric.

Im not quite sure. I think every style of music is part of who we are. And possibly what we do today. I personally LOVE Marianas Trench, not just because they rock! But because the lyrics for a few of there songs from the soundtrack Masterpiece Theater, really connected with me. 3nodding
