This is another way to begin folding a crane base. I learned it in the origami book my grandpa gave me, and personally, I prefer this method.

Let's begin!


0. Start with a sheet of square paper, white side up.


1. Fold it in half.


2. Fold the top right corner down all the way. Flip it over and do the same.


3. Open up the bottom of the model, line up the corners, and flatten.

And then continue on with folding your crane. biggrin
