So I totally agree that we should have a gift giving event for every holiday, or like every month. For like 3 to 5 days, every month. For the larger holidays, extend the time period. But I think it would be a great way to keep up this spirit of generosity in our group.
And we get to come up with new aliases all the time.
So, what do you guys think?

Agreed 100%. I think that next month will be EXTRA-SPECIAL... St. Patrick's Day AND Easter!
Next question: Do we make a forum in the guild for each event as it comes or take them to the main forums?

I dunno.
Because if we take it to the main forums, we can get more people involved.
But if we stay here, we can get really close as a group.

And for just plain chatting in the guild, we could have a policy of casual, random gifting. :'D
I like this whole 'surprise attack' gifting deal.

I think for the smaller holidays, we should host them here in the guild, like Botany said; however, we could have ads in our sigs or something like that and still gift anonymously to anyone in the GCD. 3nodding

We won't get innundated with n00blets for the less-major holidays but we can expand when everyone's in a generous mood! I too like the surprise attack gifting theory! I'll try to give /at least/ a gift a week!

TI would be fun to make a group run alias or mule that would give gifts out to random gaians not just in the guild.

I love this idea. Also, we won't need a thread in the main forums if we wish to gift to random people on small holidays.

Valentines bonanza is a gcd tradition, but the others I think we would have to hold them in the guild. But yes. I think having one atleast once a month or once every other month is a great idea biggrin
