Story: Vampires, creatures of the night who feed upon the blood of humans, have always been able to survive in this world because of their superior strength over their victims. Thus allowing them to feast upon the crimson fluid of the humans and therefore allowing them to live. For survival, humans have fought against these creatures for centuries, trying to find methods as to end the lives of such creatures. Over the centuries, rare humans have been born whom have been able to rise up and fight these creatures, born with special attributes that have given them the ability to defend their kindred. However, like all humans, the life span of one is that of but a flicker to a vampire's; a being that can live forever. Because of this, it seemed as though vampires would always have the ability to feast upon the humans for all eternity, forcing the humans to live in constant fear of who would be chosen next for the next feast.

However, war soon broke out amongst the humans over a petty dispute of land. This war was not just any war however, for it involved all the land and therefore every man that breathed was involved.

The land during this day and age was focused around two Kingdoms, one in the East and the other in the West. Once both empires had lived in harmony, but now, due to the greediness of the King whom lived in the East, war was inevitable...

At first, the vampires were not affected by this. However, as time passed, it soon became obvious that both sides, which were equal in strength, would soon destroy one another, leaving the vampires with no source of food. Because of this dilemma the vampires now faced, the Vampiric race soon decided that a side had to be chosen; the vampires would have to aid one faction so that one would remain victorious. However, like the humans, the vampires began to dispute over which side to choose. And soon, it did not take long before the Vampiric race, just like the humans, were torn in two and began fighting in the darkness behind the humans whom they wished would win...

Now, not only do the humans fight one another, but so do the vampires, while also feeding upon either the Western or Eastern humans...

History: Rothlen was a child when the original war began amoung the humans and now as a young adult he must fight them and his own kin. He was thinking that the western kingdom had the worse tasting blood. The eastern kingdom's was much stronger. So he began fighting of Easterners and his enemy kin in the war using a sword looted from his first human victem.

History: Her family was attacked many many years before by a band of vampires but for reasons unknown to Talen she was chosen to become one of them. She however left them as soon as she knew how to live and hasn't heard of them since.

Allegiance: western
History: He has always lived in the castle for his mother and father both worked for the king but when he was 16 in a battle between the eastern kingdom they were both killed by vampires. Cane then moved to live outside of the city in the woods though he still worked for the king. He hates vampires with a passion.

Aress moved along the halls of her home, her long dress keeping her shoes covered. Her own heels were clicking against the ground as she headed towards the entrance. A message had been running along the guards since someone entered the castle. She kept her speed as she felt her cross move from one rib cage to the other, poking the material that covered her.

Her heels began to pick up their noise as she began to run. She had picked up her skirt so she wouldn't trip. She stopped at the end of the entrance hall, breathing deeply, but with her corset top her chest was tight; luckily she was used to it. She stared down the hall, watching the other's form walk along the hallway.

Aress glared at the woman and her smile. She brought her hand to the cross, holding up the purified emblem. She had managed to get the pope himself to purify this cross. She moved her body, stretching out aher back some, "Leave this place vampire. We have no need for you here."

She saw the licking of the fangs, but she made no movement besides a few words, "You can scare the guards all you want, but as the second child of the king, I have a right to protect him..." She didn't draw her sword, knowing full well that she wouldn't win.

Talen gave out a high musical laugh that had the same ring of siren's songs and then looked back at her her face smiling but no longer with the thought of scaring or playing with her "Oh what a valiant and brave soul I have found, but have no fear I am not here to harm anyone in this castle especially the king. I have merely come to pledge my alliance against the eastern kingdom" She said and bowed low to the woman with such grace that it would seem to be an act from the god's themselves. As She bowed she said "You have my word that I shall not harm a human that belongs to this kingdom during my stay here" she straightened up and smiled again "I realize and understand that you have no right to trust me for all I can give you is my honor and my word for those are all that I have. I could of course give your empire jewels or gold if you wish but what would that be to me. No that wouldn't do at all for I put more on Honor than any amounts of gold and while some vampires may not. I am not just some vampire. My name is Talen, child of the King. And I have a score to settle with those to the East"

Talen was insulted by that last mark and said reproachfully "Haven't I just given you my word that I would not hurt anyone from this kingdom and unless you are secretly from the east kingdom that would mean you" she said glaring now but followed her nonetheless and actually coming up to walk beside her though she payed no attention once again to her or her surroundings but she moved in unison with Aress in every turn and step matching her straight on.

Cedric sat within the tavern with the other knights, keeping to his drink and ignoring the laughter of his colleagues. After returning from his "journey" he had come to hear that the Eastern Kingdom had come to a treaty with a group of vampires. This sickened him. In truth, during his two years abroad, he had spent killing vampires, surviving just barely under harsh conditions. However now, after such training, he had come back to hear that they were going to have to work with such creatures? He was never going to accept it, even if it was the King's wish.

As the knight sat there, drinking from his ale, the door suddenly opened. As soon as this occurred, the atmosphere in the tavern immediately changed; it was a feeling which he knew all too well. From the corner of his eye, he watched as the creatures of the night made their way into the tavern: there were two of them....

With a cry, Cedric immediately jumped up from his seat and swung his sword at the closest vampire, his blade quickly dismantling the creature's head from its body. In surprise, the other creature jumped back as its colleague slumped to the floor, its body sizzling due to holy water which covered its bleeding carcass. However, before Cedric had time to attack the other, a group of knights immediately grabbed a hold of him, pulling him back from attacking the other, which he tried to accomplish, his body writhing as he tried to break free. "You idiots!" cried Cedric, as he was dragged to the ground, "we cannot be allies with such freaks!!" But before he could say anymore, he immediately lost conscience as something hard hit him from the back of his head...
