The Story

When the world itself was created by the gifts of the gods, they bestowed two swords to each of the dominant races, humans and demons. Over time the two races grew greedy towards the other's power and declared war on the empires, a war that would last until the other side had fallen. The Sword of the Heavens was blessed with the holy power of light and could deflect even the strongest of demonic auras. The Sword of Hell's Flames was a dark and deadly sword, sucking the very souls of humans that laid flesh on any part of the sword. Many emperors led the humans, the latest emperor, Albert VI of the empire Romana. The darker side of the world, the demon's empire is ruled by the fallen angel himself, Lucifer, along with others of his kin and high relationship in the empire, Salem. The other races each have their own leaders and armies, but none are in a real threat of the two empires as long as they fight with one another, others join either side and fight along with the empires. The cost of defeat is great as well, if a human shall fall to a skilled demon, they may find themselves forever converted and chained to the one that defeated them, while if a demon may fall they shall fall into an eternal rest, forever, or some rumors have floated around there is a 'cure' to a demon's conversion. The war wages on even till this day, until the wielder of the gods' swords is finally chosen, demon or human, or maybe even one of each dominant race.

Sword of the Heavens
A holy blade, as white as the clouds and golden feathers of metal encrested on each side of the hilt to create an angel like wings image. Given to the humans by the goddess of light, Solis, when the threat of the demons creation of the gods conflicted with their existence and life. Upon the bestowing of this sword a heir was chosen to hold its power until the last of its family bloodline was lost, or so the humans thought. Many humans tried to wield its power, but all failed. Soon the blade was sealed in the castle of the empire and never used again, but oddly it created a barrier around the empire and stopped the demons from destroying the empire and killing anymore humans to add to their army. Now the blade still rests in the sealed room and keeps an eternal barrier until the day the sword may be wielded again, while the darkness of the demons still spread and lust for the blade.

Sword of Hell's Flames
A dark sword of demonic power, with a spiked hilt and double blade sword, red mist always streaming out of it as its hunger for human souls never ending, along with black demon wings that are embedded into the hilt as well. Only those of the blood of Lucifer were able to wield it and the daughter of Lucifer was the last to hold the great sword in her claws, before her father resheathed the sword into the middle of the empire to ward off any humans that were foolish enough to step foot in his lands. Unknown to most humans besides those of royal blood and the ones that serve the emperor, most humans will never stray too far from the empire, but those who did will become weak and powerless if left in the demon lands while the sword feeds on their soul until there is nothing left. Only the holy sword of the humans can counter the sword's hunger and stop the souls of those who venture into the demon lands, but with the two armies colliding soon in the middle of the two lands, neither sword will be able to affect the war raging on for eternity.
