So, I was listening to Guster's Lost and Gone Forever this morning for the first time, when all of the sudden "Center of Attention" came on. I got really confused as to why a Barenaked Ladies song was playing when I was listening to Guster when I realized, it was Guster singing! See, when I went to my first BnL concert they played "Center of Attention." I didn't recognize it, but I still didn't have a few of their cds, so I figured that it was off of one of those. When I realized it wasn't, I figured it might be just a side song like "Get in Line" or "Powder Blue" or something. I always meant to figure it out and never remembered to, but now I know! Spiffy, huh?

Yup, so I have a BnL cover of "Center of Attention." If anyone would like me to pm it to them, lemme know... mrgreen

Yup. Actually, I now have this sneaking suspicion that it was the lead singer of Guster (can't remember his name) who sang the lead vocals. I'd always assumed it was Ed (cause I never listened to the song much) but after comparing the two versions, I think it's Guster's lead singer. I also have this vague memory that they brought a friend in to sing a song with them, but I didn't have any idea who the guy was, and they don't mention anything in the copy I have of the concert, so I always figured they left that song off. Now I think otherwise. But I need another opinion!
