I can't wait for spring to come! I'm going to have so much fun this year biggrin I get to help paint the house my favorite color (green!), and completely redo the landscaping around the house.
My yard as it is now:

And my yard as it will be by the time i'm done with it:

So what do you think?
(Sorry for the page stretching sweatdrop )

Sorry it took me so long to write something! But WOW! All the work you did to plan it out so beautifully! Now I'm excited! You'd better upload some pictures or something when you get it finished!!

Looks like you have some good plans! I certainly can't blame you for getting rid of a blue spruce and cedars, as they're not always the most friendly or attractive of evergreens. At least your yard didn't start with Siberian elms*, though!
*Deserves a spot under "Plants of Ill Repute"...

Japanese Painted Ferns are so beautiful! And I've always liked Peonies. OH! eek Bloodgrass! You'll have to tell me how it looks when you get it in. I used to live in a zone that bloodgrass wouldn't survive but now I could finally get some.
I like blue spruces. 3nodding (Well, just as much as any other spruces.)

Even more inconvenient to have them right around the front sidewalk sad Spruce needles hurt when you step on them... Yeah, my understanding is that blue spruce is considerably more spiny than the usual white spruce I find planted in my area sad Personally, I lean toward hemlocks and firs, but neither is especially favored in the Southeastern US; pines are OK but the durable needles and cones make quite a mess.

Kiera!! I just remembered that you have some jerks for neighbors that do damage to your plants! Well, you just let us know and we'll come be them to a pulp! scream With willow branches or some other plant parts.
I'm just worried for all your landscaping plans. Oh, I'm already seething that something might happen. I hope everything goes well!

Lashleta: lol I used MSPaint. I did draw it out on graph paper first, though. and I'll take plenty of pics once there's something worth taking pictures of!
Tum: me too gonk We're gonna try putting a small fence up first, if that doesn't work... Well, we've got plenty of spare baseball bats lying around ninja j/k lol
