Ok, so I havn't been on for long but like I've said, I'm no rookie. I'd like to bring up some good Conversation.

Ok, So if you havn't learned from the other post of mine, I'm an Avid fan of the ROck band Tool. I own ALL there Cds and all the Cds of the band that spawned out of tool such as my 2nd Favorite band, A Perfect Circle. I usally put on one of there Cd's such as Lateralus and when I fall Asleep, A lot a times, i'll have VERY VERY Lucid dreams or Even come out of my body completly. when I astral project it seems like its only a few seconds but I see A vivid otherworld. I've had many dreams that turn into prophosy within the next month. I've evenhad times while listening to them where I lok at people and see there Auras and/or spirits around them.

If you never listened to Tool...You need to. They have a very 3D sound to them, like A multi layered pirimid in the middle of the universe feel. there very deep and VERY SYMBOLIC. listen to there song, Stinkfist,Parabola,Schism,46 and 2, or if you can get a hold of it Third eye. you'll see what I mean.

Second, tell me if you've had a similar Experience and if you feel music like tool can help pull that astral trigger.

Peace,Love

Tool is my favorite band as well and yes I do think it's very possible. Music in general I know for me is wonderful for raising energy. And, as you know TOOL has a wonderful sound and spirit. I've never used them to get energy to work with in a spell but I have just kind of zoned out and let my self be put into a transe state by them.

I believe that music is an integral part of life. It depends on the person for the type of music, but each person has at least one song that gets their heart beating and helps to raise energy. Tool's song Schism isn't quite at that level for me, but it is very close and I love it!
Speaking of which, here is one song that does the trick for me. It is the theme song from the movie "Requiem for a Dream."

Yeah I totally Agree. I love the songs metioned by the way(yes I checked the link^^) I listen to tool a lot anfd they have help me reach certain levles of power and divination as I and you both have said.

but usally I sick to calmer stuff(tools very mind warping and it get hard to concentrate on anything else other then Tools CRazy sounds and guitar) I'm A Bard and very soon I will be on the OBOD bard program. I love Druidism and find music as an outlet and tool with great power in itself.

I acually just got done writing a nice bass tab for ostera, its has similar tool vibes (like a blend of Tool; the gruge and tunes from the Ledend of zelda orcarina of time feeling to it)

anyone here a druid as well? if not or just to enhance or understanding of the craft, even if your not a druid, try to take from this video, good stuff^^

To me, no. I get distracted by the music and concentrate. Of course it might be because I have the attention span of the three year old. I'm always like "Look! Shiny!"

I do the same thing!! I've learned that, for me, the easiest way to counteract that is to play music that I know, so I wont be focusing on it trying to learn it sweatdrop Also, I play it at the lowest setting possible, where I can still kind of tell what's going on, but I can't distinguish one part of the music from another.

It all depends on what kind of day I'm having to be honest...some days, I have to be in complete and utter silence, and others I absolutely need music to thrive on. Either way, Tool is an awesome band! 3nodding

I've heard of some people not being able to meditate unless they have some heavy metal going on in the background. It does happen--

I think it depends on the person.

My frequent meditation theme is of me playing on stage.. Either just as practice, or as a show. It works wonders. biggrin
