So I think pretty soon I'm gonna get the A&K M249. It's about $300 from Redwolf, and I heard it's near CA quality.
However, it's only 310 fps, and if I get an M249, I want it to be a beast.
Aside from just getting a new spring, what can I do internally to increase performance and strength?
Thanks

Don't touch A&K stuff, They're peices of s**t. I've already had to work on 3 of them.
Nothing about them is good.. Internals are garbage, same with the body.

If you want a m249, skip the crap and go to a ca. A&K may sound like a sweet deal, but would cost way to much to upgrade it. CA prices have dropped and you can get amkII for like 600 and some change. The only other is a star, which is my primary, but it cost me around 1200 so far while the ca only cost me around 800-900.

What I dont get is why its so hard to convince people to put some money into this sport.
Shitty equipment is shitty equipment. If you cant afford it, save up get another job do what you have to do, just dont cheap out if you want to cheap out buy a TM they're usually fair in price since they're mostly abs, but their internals are boss.

I already have a classic army m4. The only reason I wanted to buy this is because I thought it would be a fun project to get a cheap m249 and soup it up.

Well I have areally good question can you carry it for a long time. Full metal bodies on SAws are heavy as hell. I got tired just carrying one for a photoshoot for my team
